All staff were very friendly, accommodating and provided excellent service. The menu was outstanding but also very affordable, and the breakfast offered excellent choices. The views from the hotel are simply stunning, especially late sunsets during the summer months. There are options to visit a number of tourist attractions in the region, using the Hotel as a base.

Lovely hotel with very attentive and welcoming staff. Our room was huge with a comfortable bed and a jacuzzi bath and sea views. The whole hotel was spotless. The breakfast was delicious and was served at our table. Town centre is a 10-15 minute walk away or 5 minutes in car. We would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay again.

This pioneering young couple have taken on a massive job of returning this establishment to its former beauty. Room by massive room it’s being restored and it’s going to be amazing when they finish. We absolutely loved our stay here. Carpets, paint and the bathroom for room 9 are all almost new. The staff are all so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed dinner in the bar and breakfast in the dining room.

Perfect for a weekend in Dunoon. Very friendly and helpful staff. Sea view was amazing. Good location. Obviously it’s an older, more classic seaside hotel which over time will get the refurb it needs, but the staff do a great job to make it welcoming and enjoyable. Recommend !

From check in to check out the whole stay was amazing. The house is what it claims to be, a castle set in woodlands yet a close enough walk to the village. Rooms are gorgeous and freshly done - loads of drinks and biscuits on the room tray, great WiFi, big comfy bed, lots of storage space, and a gorgeous shower kitted out with everything you need. The breakfast is amazing and very well cooked. You honestly won't need lunch after filling up on the Full Scottish (lots of healthy.options are provided too). However, it's the owners who make the place - super friendly and very kind.

It’s a small village with 1 shop and 2 pubs.

It’s a small village with 1 shop and 2 pubs. The royal food is not good, we did not try the Osborne but the ratings are good. Walking is good cycling is great flat ride in both directions great for families. There is a lovely walk to Toward castle from the dock through the woods.
