Our stay here was nothing short of brilliant. What truly sets this hotel apart is its team. Every single staff member we encountered, from the housekeeping to the restaurant staff, was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The facilities were excellent, and our room was quiet and peaceful. My stay at this hotel was truly fantastic, thanks to its outstanding amenities. Swimming pool, gym, tennis anf golf - all these superb facilities made my visit unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel for a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. Absolutely stunning lodge! The decor, the space and the facilities are to a very high standard! Cozy, inviting, spacious and modern. Views from the lodge are amazing! The lodge is situated currently with 3 other lodges, very far apart, so we loved the privacy and had no concerns with our young children playing outside. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best, extremely high winds and rain but it meant we made the most of the lodge. The lodge was equipped with everything needed for our short break. Added equipment like the iron, iron board, hoover, brush and shovel, hand wash and lotion is a great touch! Will definitely book again for a longer stay. Thank you for our stay.

If you are looking for a quiet, break with beautiful views...

If you are looking for a quiet, break with beautiful views and walks on the doorstep this is the place to stay. If you want facilities i.e. a shop and places to eat within walking distance then this is probably too remote. We loved walking through the grounds and walking up Binsey, which is the closest small mountain. Keswick, is only about a half hour drive which has lots of facilities and a great supermarket.

Ireby itself is a small village about 1 miles walk from the property. It has a pub but no other facilities. We ate at the Greyhound a few miles away. This was ok and value for money. You definitely need a car to access other areas though cycling is a possibility if you enjoy hills. Roads in the immediate area are typically narrow but very quiet. Can take walks from the doorstep and can get to the coast reasonably easily about 30mins drive away. The property has lots of information on where to go like local whiskey distillery, cheese maker and tearooms.
