    The hotel was a complete surprise - lovely room with great...

    The hotel was a complete surprise - lovely room with great views and our car right outside. Very snuggly bed, truly lovely staff, really nice food too. The only slight blip was the outdated bathroom however, it was still better than others we have stayed at (why do some venues only offer a tiny sink?). Overall, very happy to return, and for much longer. Exceptional value.

    You just felt welcome from the minute you arrive and this continues throughout your stay. Food was good too. There was a leaflet showing walks from the hotel what a great idea, and the one I took down to the canal was very enjoyable. I didn’t see any member not looking to see if they could help a customer all were a credit to the management what a great team.

    From check in to leaving this was a great place to stay. A really great find. Everything was good from the room to the food which I would highly recommend. It was good for visiting places in either Lancashire or Yorkshire.

    The cleanliness of the restaurant/ bar and the rooms was outstanding The food was out standing as was the service. Very polite and friendly staff who were always on hand to help and serve. It’s a long time since I have stayed overnight in a hotel with such fantastic staff, food and rooms.

    Fantastic hotel, great superior rooms with ground floor access, excellent facilities, staff were superb couldn't do enough for you, food in evening and breakfast was very well cooked and tasty. Bar staff very helpful and no great waits for drinks, toilets in bar were very clean,. 5* review from all 3 couples who stayed for the one night.

    The breakfasts and meals were very good - the food, the staff and the service. The staff were very friendly considerate, diligent and efficient. The decor and cleanliness throughout the hotel was very pleasing. My wife and I were also very impressed with the separate accommodation building, the so called Barn - a very high standard, including the bathroom fixtures and fittings. The gardens are also extremely well kept by a very pleasant diligent and hsppy gardener - well done to him.

    The location was very close to my business location. External of the hotel looks decent and so was the lounge bar area. My room was close to the reception, pretty quiet and fairly clean. Glad to see ironing facilities in the wardrobe.
