Everything was very clean, staff were amazing and very helpful. Room was spacious with a nice view. The location was perfect and very close to the hospital I had a shift I had my shift in. Food was delicious and value for money. We will definitely be staying there again. Highly recommended

We were greeted by Ian and made to feel welcome immediately. Mark was superb in his management skills. Junior was also very helpful with our hot water issue. Both Ian and Mark handled the hot water problem the next morning with efficiency and swiftness. There had been a problem with a drunk female guest one night, but the night staff quickly responded to our phone call and spoke the girl. Mark checked on us the next morning to be sure we were ok with what had happened. ANd we also want to recognize Jack, our waiter, on our first night. Very professional polished young man. We just can't stress enough how great the staff was.

From start to finish I was treated like a queen, especially Collie, Gary, Mariam, Pauline, Erin, Katie, Jack, Liam and Ryse, to name a few, others I didn't get their name. They made certain I was happy and satisfied, and I can be a bit persnickety. I had many requests and they were all met! When I return, I will gladly chose to book with them again. My room was posh, clean boasting a wonderful view. I had a hair emergency and found a quaint salon across the street, enjoyed a special sushi treat, as well, across the street. When I realized I forgot several items for my special "Clan MacLane Gathering", I was able to locate my missing items just a few feet from there. Upon checking out, I had some banking snafu's and was guided to a currency exchange, just another few feet from there. All I shared my experience with, were impressed by the unassuming thrifty rate. Lovely dining setting, creative breakfast (included in my stay) and finally I was able to enjoy my favorite Camomile tea from the bar. I really appreciated having my kettle in my room to warm up with. I am so grateful and most assuredly impressed how I, whilst not knowing, found the ideal place for which to stay. Thank you to everyone for making this part of my journey brilliant and spectacular!

Location was nice and out of the city but close enough that the airport wasn't too far to drive in the morning! Loved that they packed us a take away lunch since we couldn't stay for the breakfast in the morning. Beautiful jetted bathtub in the bathroom too!!

We were in Kilsyth for just one night on our way further...

We were in Kilsyth for just one night on our way further north, so we didn’t spend long in the town. We stayed at The Coachman Hotel which was great, and went to buy a paper from a newsagent in the high street in the morning - just two minutes walk from the hotel. We noticed are some thoughtful details, a nicely painted bridge over a small river, carved stonework, and it all looked very clean and tidy.

Kilsyth is a town full of history from the mines to the...

Kilsyth is a town full of history from the mines to the weaving. It should really have a museum in the main street. Colzium is a beautiful park with flowers and walks. The main street is a sad shadow of its former self but still worth a walk and a pie from Rennies the bakers.

Service and food were exceptional, even though they were short staffed we felt very well looked after. We felt that the boat house management are really making an effort to improve the hotel. There is plenty of parking directly outside the hotel, a pleasant decking area too. The towels and bed linen were clean and good quality. there was plenty of tea/coffee etc in the rooms and nice toiletries. Water in the in-room fridge and our friends had a small bottle of Sherry and 2 glasses in their room!

The reception and departure were simple. The receptionist went out of her way to explain all aspects of my stay and also showed me to my room. The room was exactly as described with a lovely view of the canal outside. It was a busy hotel but really quiet, which made for a perfect night's sleep. I ate in the restaurant twice and the food was top quality. The highlight of my time there was the absolute courtesy and politeness of every member of staff. They should be commended just for this.

Dog friendly, staff were really helpful and the food was amazing! We ate in the pub as the restaurant didn’t allow dogs however they served the same menu. We had the steak which was fantastic and great value. Hotel breakfast was one of the best we have had and the staff accommodated us in a separate part of the restaurant to allow the dogs in. We will definitely return!

Newly refurbished hotel and restaurant. Extremely welcoming staff. Very clean rooms, new bathrooms, showers. Comfortable beds. Food in the restaurant is extremely good and good price. Good choice of beers. Great breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended.
