A real treat to stay in a former hunting lodge, actually a manor home. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was perfectly adequate, and we enjoyed a drink in the bar the night before. With advance notice dinner can also be provided. Some of the decor is out of time and does not complement the history of the home, but this did not distract too much. There is nothing around the property in terms of shops or restaurants, but the location served our purpose as an overnight stop.

The staff was amazing. The location is located across from a little bay that had dolphins that night. The beds were so comfortable as were the pillows.

This property is in the most stunning location-utterly breathtaking wherever you look. I have stayed all over Scotland and this is easily one of the most incredible locations. Lots of beautiful walks to take around the lochs and up into the hills, and wildlife to spot-we saw a red squirrel, deer (of course), and patted the resident ponies. The estate staff were very helpful and friendly. The house was toasty warm and the beds super comfortable. Plenty of hot water, and deep bathtubs for a good soak. Crisp linen provided, super comfy sofa, and everything was very clean. Excellent communication throughout the stay.

For us, selecting The Pines at Kinlochewe was ideal as a well located, self catering, free access accommodation allows the freedom to come and go as one wishes and vary plans around the Scottish Summer weather. Its not a HUB of activity and most restaurants are a car journey away (there was a nice one at Shieldaig). But its a great location for walking and the views (when you can see them) are breathtaking.
