Set in the picturesque Cairngorms, the unit was spacious and well equipped and is located in a beautifully kept resort with easy walk to shops, and the Aviemore Railway station - part of The Strathsprey Steam Rail route. The area offers many great walks. After being on the road for a few weeks we really appreciated the guest laundry. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful when we had an issue with one of the machines. Communication and access to the property were smooth and easy.

Lovely hotel with excellent restaurant and pub. Bed, breakfast, concert in the pub - everything was perfect. Nice receptionist - very helpful - gave u informations about how to get around Aviemore.

I already want to come back and stay here longer. Reception staff very welcoming, gave all the information about the resort, breakfast was amazing with lots of options and attentive staff, our room was very spacious and decorated I think quite beautiful - it felt like home away from home. The pool / activities area was amazing for families (especially young kids) - we thoroughly enjoyed the wave pool and water slide.

Amazing quiet locations with mountains in background. Also missive kitchen with pretty much everything you need there to cook your own meal. Was well surprised how well nice lounge/living room was decorated, very cozy with fire place made you feel warm and at home after a long cold day. Honestly everything was great and nothing to worry about heated warm water everything you need

Great little place to stay for a few nights if you’re...

Great little place to stay for a few nights if you’re visiting the area. Close to walking and water sports. Accessible to Aviemore and Rothiemurcus facilities. Very peaceful and quiet. The only difficulty would be if you have a low bodied car as the road to the property is very bumpy and rocky but if you have an suv , you’ll be fine.

So quiet and lovely walks from the property.

So quiet and lovely walks from the property. Loved watching the bird feeders full of re squirrels, woodpeckers and so many different types of birds. Had a great swim in loch insh, finding green loch, walk round loch an eilean and delicious dinners in the Cairngorm hotel.

Only 15 minutes drive from Avimore for meals & about the same distance to the Highland Wildlife Park & Highland Folk Museum. Wildlife on the doorstep & countless stunning river & woodland walks from the property or a small drive away.

As stated, breakfast was not included. A toaster, tea and coffee making facilities were provided. Gordon and Dulcie were kind, informative and generous hosts. We enjoyed the tranquility of their guest suite as our base for exploring the area and visiting the Highland Wildlife Park and Highland Folk Museum.
