The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was lovely and clean and the bedroom smelt really clean and fresh. Parking available right outside the cottage. Fantastic atmosphere inside the pub with games for adults and children to play. Locals really friendly and NOT a 'clicky' environment at all! We stayed on a bank holiday Monday when there was live music and karaoke involving the children with songs they would like. We would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay in such a beautiful town! Gorgeous little shops and pubs. It ended with disaster, though, as there was a fire down the street from the property. We were evacuated, and the owner went above and beyond to help us and look after us. We can not thank her enough!

The cottage is charmingly renovated, it is certainly small and cosy with a winding staircase but it is well appointed with a brilliant bathroom and well supplied kitchen. It has efficient heating and everything needed for a pleasant stay in this lovely picturesque town. The hosts supplied all the information needed to enjoy the local pubs and restaurants. Kirkby Lonsdale is interesting in itself and a good base for exploring Yorkshire and Cumbria.

Kirkby is a lovely, peaceful, pretty village with wonderful scenery, especially Ruskins View which was captured in a stunning painting by William Turner in 1822. The walk along the the River Lune is so lovely and gives you a wonderful feeling of well being I would certainly recommend it. The Royal Barn is an excellent pub/brewery to visit selling wonderful real ales brewed in the area.

Kirkby Lonsdale is a lovely little village.

Kirkby Lonsdale is a lovely little village. Quieter than some of the Lake District towns/villages, with a good range of independent shops and eateries. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely stroll down to the river and Devil's bridge followed by a climb up Radical steps up to Ruskin's view which helped build up an appetite :-). Thoroughly recommend. Royal Oak and Red Dragon are good value for overnight stays and food was great at both. We stopped at The Sun Inn for a drink and the lady behind the bar was super helpful in helping select a nice wine and IPA. Fantastic range of beers at the Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery and they do fabulous fresh coffee.

Small beautiful market town within a superb country setting...

Small beautiful market town within a superb country setting back dropped by the lake district fells. Traditional market place with live market on Thursdays. Full range of restaurants from A La Carte to take aways - Indian is particularly good! Easy to walk about the town and local area with river Lune just out of the town - Devils Bridge a very popular tourist attraction.

Kirkby Lonsdale is bustling, full of shops, accommodation of all kinds and very characterful with lots of history including famous writers, at least one composer, etc. The church is worth a visit and the graveyard is full of interesting gravestones, if you enjoy that kind of thing. The river is beautiful including Devil's Bridge. Lots of motorbikers visit enmasse there. You do need to have access to spending money though and expect to pay tourist prices everywhere. There is a good supermarket, Booths, that we discovered, just off the main street.

Cracking wee town with enough choice of shopping eating and drinking. Close enough to The Lakes; Lancashire; Yorkshire & The Dale's to access loads of days out. The nearby White Scar Caves are great and The Forbidden Corner was amazing - even my grumpy 16yo son loved it.

No. 2 is a beautifully cosy and charming little pad. We have been visiting Kirkby Lonsdale, and stayed in many different hotels and Holiday lets, but we'll definitely come here again. It had everything we needed for a 2 day break. Mandy was exceptional and making us feel at home. Despite the freezing temperatures No. 2 was warm and welcoming. Great, quiet location, overlooking the church. My 19 year old son loved his attic room upstairs. Would highly recommend 👌

Spacious house, lovely view from the living area, comfortable beds and sofas, immaculately clean, great showers, really well equipped kitchen. Lovely seating area in the garden with great views. Only a mile from Kirkby Lonsdale and a short drive from lots of lovely places in the Dales and the Lake District

Super cute little hideaway, very conveniently located for all that Kirkby Lonsdale has to offer. Even after breaking his leg, my husband was able to get up to the bedroom on the amazing ancient stone staircase. He was ready for the local beer that was on the side by the time he got down again though, haha.
