Very nice room with a great size and nice common area for hanging out. The breakfast and the food was really good - we ended up eating there a lot. The staff was fantastic too, very attentive and friendly and always happy to help and give recommendations.

TO start the staff was ALL amazing! They were so kind and helpful, it was incredible. One of the best experiences I have had at a hotel. The room was beautiful with the most incredible mini bar I have ever seen. We partook in quite a bit of that. The bed was super comfortable. The toiletries were top notch and they even had a robe, slippers, hair dryer & straightener!! I was in heaven. The design is stunning with a ton of beautiful and cool funky art. The breakfast was mouth watering. Even if not staying there you should totally eat there. My husband said it was the best chicken and waffles he has ever had. It was the perfect stay I wish we had planned a longer stay here. Next time we are back in Edinburgh we will 100% stay here!

Staff unfriendly but not as unfriendly as the locals. They do not like visitors. Room was aweful, electrical sockets located where you had to crawl around on the floor to use them. Only 1 out of 2 worked. No supplied toiletries, shower was pathetic no pressure and impossible to regulate temp. Food quality was good.

We really liked the remote village location.

We really liked the remote village location. Yet it was just 30 min to Edinburgh by bus. We were able to leave the car there and it was safe. We also liked the feel of Lasswade. There were farms dotted about and the overall feel was one of community and abundance.

Room was better than expected. Comfy bed, spacious, great TV with YouTube. Very quiet overnight. Staff were all lovely. That breakfast was so good will recommend stay to other people. Authentic Scottish experience. Don't stay in bland city hotels. Come and stay in the Laird & Dog. Bus 31 to city so easy. Door to door.

Ideal to travel into Edinburgh without paying the price of hotels in the city whilst events are on (e.g. Christmas Markets). A bus stops right outside the Inn that takes you into Princes Street. Good menu in the restaurant and a separate bar. Rooms are very clean and the beds are comfy. Staff are very friendly.

Lovely hotel very friendly staff, particularly the girl that served me at lunch & dinner, a credit to the hotel, Room was nice and cosy nothing posh but clean and very comfy bed , food in the restaurant was delicious. Great location if you don't want to be right in the centre of Edinburgh easy driving distance

Very nice quiet location with a lovely view. Very cosy, clean. Parking. Wifi. All good. 5 minute drive to the Original Roslin Hotel for the half hourly bus into Edinburgh city centre. Lovely walks in the Glen on the doorstep.
