We stayed one night at Phoenix Farm in the shepherds hut, and it was exactly what we hoped for. The hut was beautifully decorated, and well equipped, with an added bonus of cream teas upon arrival, and fresh eggs for sale just outside. There is wood stove with kindling and logs provided, which was handy when the hut gets chilly in the evenings, so that it quickly became cosy! It was fantastic to experience the ponies just outside our enclosed area, as well as two tiny lambs curled up by our door step when we woke in the morning, with their mum nearby.. which made the stay even more special and rememberable! Only critism would be that the shower was not hot enough, but due to the limitations of such accomodation it is understandable, and wouldn't be a problem in the summer.

I went to Liskeard to see a concert in the Public Hall. The concert was a Cornish singer-songwriter Charlie Harris and her guitarist Russell J Williams. Liskeard also has plenty of independent shops, pubs and cafes. There is a JD Wetherspoon pub, which serves drinks and food at a reasonable price. The town is a hub for visiting other towns including Looe, Polperro and beyond.

Liskeard is strategically placed to explore parts of Devon and Cornwall. We paid for a week parking near train station and catch train to different places everyday. Very convenient. The town centre itself has nothing to offer though which is a shame.

Liskeard is great because slightly inland and therefore a little cheaper. A great base for exploring that beautiful part of Cornwall. Close proximity to Looe, Polperro, Mevagissey, St. Austell and many more interesting things to explore. A car is essential

The Liskeard / Bodmin Moor area makes for an ideal base for...

The Liskeard / Bodmin Moor area makes for an ideal base for exploring the north and south coasts of the area. Places such as Padstow and Doc Martin’s Port Issac to the north and Mevagissy, Looe and Fowey to the south. Wonderful countryside surrounds you in the Mini’s Cottage location. From there, Jamaica Inn is just a short drive away.

We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners...

We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners were taking over and the place has been transformed. Lovely clean room with a complementary bottle of wine which was a lovely extra. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant which was very tasty and really good value for money and it had a lovely atmosphere with a cosy wood burning fire. We opted for a rate with breakfast which again was fantastic with great quality ingredients and my daughter loved the hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.

Supermarkets within a 10 minute drive of site Have stayed at this site many times and have found egress from the site can be risky. We leave the site by turning left, do a U turn at next junction on right, then join traffic with good site in wing mirror. We eat at several different outlets. Trelawney Garden Centre near Wadebridge recommended as is Trago Mills.

Beautiful stay for 1st glamping experience was amazing really would go again x entertainment was a traditional Cornish band and was fab and nice to see it and learn facts about Cornwall.... some Beautiful spots I visited not far from the digs and just wish had a longer stay to explore more .... food was lovely and my 10month puppy loved it also. The staff was warm kind and friendly and most of all approachable

What a great place for some peace and quiet. Good base to visit plenty of places in Cornwall. Lovely big garden for dog to run around. Loved having fresh eggs left for us for breakfast. Big house, LOADS of room. Really enjoyed our peaceful break.
