Breakfast was basic continental: cereal, toast, a croissant on one day, yogurt. Fine. There's as restaurant too, that does mainly fish and chips, that sort of thing. Not gourmet, but cheap and pleasant. The location was fine--Talgarth is a very small town, and you could easily walk anywhere from the hotel. It's on a somewhat busy road, but at night it's very quiet. The owners, twin brothers, are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Obviously at this price you don't expect luxury--but it's quite excellent value. I would certainly return.

This was a wonderful place to stay with a comfortable room with everything you could want. A lot of thought had gone into providing a very high standard of extras, such as fresh milk and having hot chocolate available if desired. My family and I had the best stay at Old Chapel Llanfrynach. It’s beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Gareth the host kept in touch throughout our stay and was friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had cosy nights in with the log burner and blankets and enjoyed the gorgeous views from the bedrooms in the morning. It’s in a great location for exploring the nearby mountains and trails. It was easy to park, dog friendly, perfect for our young kids, plus a great price. Highly recommended

Ty Sycamore is in a great location for exploring the Brecon Beacons. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very clean and had all the amenities needed for my 4 night stay. Check in was easy. I felt safe as a solo traveller and would happily stay again if visiting the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Slow House Apartments! The place is new, spotless, and so welcoming that we immediately felt at home. The view of the Black Mountains from the big window is breathtaking – we could have spent hours just watching the light change over the hills. We really appreciated the eco-friendly choices like the solar panels, heat pump and water harvesting system – it’s wonderful to see such care for sustainability and comfort. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, surrounded by beautiful nature. We wish we could have stayed longer!
