There is clearly a lot of places to visit, but everything is not only expensive, but hidden costs in restaurants and the like can catch you out, service charges are supposed to be discretionary, but Altonapoli in the Euston Road near Kings Cross station not only charged £4.50 for a can of diet coke and £2.00 for a small scoop of ice cream to go on a sticky toffee pudding, which usually comes with ice cream or custard, despite stating we preferred not to pay the discretionary service charge, we forced to do so. But they are not alone, many places in London will try to "rip you off". It can be a great place to visit, but you need to keep your wits about you for this kind of thing, and as in all cities these days, beware of thieves, pickpockets and scams. And if you have any complaint to report, it is likely you won't get far as the person you are talking too with have little or no English. You will also need to ignore that London is actually a dirty, run down place with people too busy to care. But that is just my opinion.

It is important to have informative maps to navigate the city which help to work out transport to the various attractions. However there is much to see in each district. Covent Garden and Trafalgar area become very busy throughout the day so crowds can be inspected. Keep valuables close to you. Expect to walk a lot in the Underground including stairs so sensible footwear is needed. The trains can get packed on popular lines and if there are closures like on the Elizabeth line. All in all there are open spaces parks and squares to enjoy, interesting buildings and eateries everywhere. Security measures are in place at museums so no large luggage.

A big bustling city with plenty to see and do for all ages. There are many free sights to see as well as a vast amount of paid for attractions. Navigating the city is easy by tube, bus or just walking. London enjoys a plethora of open and green spaces and the whole city is a historic treat.

We stayed in London so that we could attend the Festival of Remembrance in the Royal Albert Hall. Our trip to London was a little eventful as we had to catch two trains and a bus - this was due to work being carried out on the train line!

I think London is an exceptional place to visit and go there a few times a year. I really enjoy the theatre, opera and places to eat. If you are prepared to walk it is smaller than you might imagine and very safe

London is and will always be London- sights, theatre, museums, so much to do and see. Have visited so may times and always something new to experience. The downside is that London has now become so expensive- especially the hotels, transport and shows- but will always go back from time to time. Most of the museums are still free entrance and that is a big plus.

I booked a deluxe single room, and wasn't sure what to expect considering it was much cheaper than a lot of other hotels in London. However I was very pleasantly surprised! The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. Top marks for having a control panel next to the bed that controlled all the lights plus the aircon. Perfect for a one night stay or to use as a base. Breakfast was very good - bacon, sausages, eggs plus a full continental breakfast on offer, plus pastries and toast. Would definitely recommend!

I rated this hotel highly because my expectations were quite low given the budget price. As a regular gig-goer I am used to staying in cheaper more dated hotels, some of which have been awful. as far as value for money this is a great stop over. Has all the essential facilities and the rooms were pristine, staff were so friendly. We didn't get to try the restaurant, it seems about right for london price wise though.

The City Prime Apartments were amazing! We regularly stay in London and try to be different by staying in apartments rather than hotels - adds a touch of home. The apartment was a brilliant size, clean, well appointed, great location and the staff - in particular KARIM on reception - were superb! Karim, thank you!!!! You were friendly, professional and made us feel very welcome.

The apartment was clean and specious (compared to london hotels/apartments). Everything in the room was complementary (water, crisps, chocolate). This was very handy as one would arrive to the hotel tired and looking for a quick snack! The homemade batch products were absolutely AMAZING!

Nice 4 star hotel, friendly staff and was cheaper than any of the 3 star chain hotels in central London. Located on a quiet street in leafy Bloomsbury with either Russel Square or Holborn underground stations a short walk away. Ideal location for sightseeing.
