The host was welcoming & we had everything we needed. This time the weather wasn’t conducive to sitting outside, but on a previous visit we had a lovely coffee in the beautiful garden accompanied by Nutmeg the very friendly dog. The room is beautiful and the bath is amazing. Breakfast was incredible & set us up for the day.

This accommodation is a hidden gem. We accidentally found this place after looking for a central location to drive to visit various sites around the Dorset area, then found ourselves in Bath and at Stonehenge. It is quiet and near a grocery shop and a nice pub. The facilities catered for our needs and wants. Parking just a little distance away but it appears locals also park their cars there. This was a most comfortable and convenient spot to stay for a few days.

Great character cottage in its own grounds, the cottage was cosy and had everything I required. Loved the fact that they had provided logs, kindling and lighters as i stayed in a cold spell and it was great to be able to have the fire going.

If the weather had been kind we would have enjoyed miles of lovely countryside walks, but sadly it rained. A lot. That said it was well placed for visits to Sherborne (for the castle) and Yeovil, for shopping etc. , and a thirty-five minute drive to Weymouth. Other close coastal locations were easily accessible from there.
