Very nice decor of the room. I personally found the bed and bed linens to be extremely comfortable. Nice bathroom with good shower. Location is very convenient as it’s in town and close to restaurants and supermarkets. There is a bar downstairs, but it closes around 11pm on weekdays and after that everything is quiet. Self-check in is easy and the owner is easy to reach if there are questions or problems.

Macclesfield offered a peaceful and charming atmosphere.

Macclesfield offered a peaceful and charming atmosphere. The hotel environment was excellent — clean, serene, and surrounded by nature. We experienced great comfort throughout our two-day stay. The spa facilities and breakfast were delightful, and the staff at reception were polite and welcoming.

Macclesfield has a real personality, history and character.

Macclesfield has a real personality, history and character. One Sunday a month they have the Treacle Market, but it was cancelled due to Storm Bert. The silk museum was also closed, which was disappointing, so it could be worth another trip. We were only there overnight but felt a really pleasant vibe. It's set in a hilly landscape, and you are constantly reminded of this when looking around as you walk round town. Stunning.

We lived in Macclesfield over 18 years ago, and got married there, so this was a nostalgic trip. The town has become quite trendy in the intervening years with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Good to see some of the old stalwarts such as the Waters Green Tavern are still there and refusing to become even the slightest bit trendy!

A good base to visit Peak District.

A good base to visit Peak District. Shopping centre in decline. Local bus services in decline but possible to reach Hayfield and Buxton. Plus very good train service to Manchester, London, Birmingham etc. Some good eateries - especially excellent Plums Kitchen.

I like Macclesfield because it is a pretty town with good links to Manchester if you need the big city, the Peak District if you like walking, and Buxton if you want a bit of culture. The town is of a manageable size with pretty parks, and it has various small events going on in the local pubs, plus each month there is the Treacle Market, which is a popular feature of Macclesfield.

Great location in a lovely Cheshire village. We did a walk from the hotel to a waterfall and on to White Nancy, a rather unique folly (about an hour but be warned it is very hilly!). We stopped at the nearby Bulls Head on the way home for a well deserved pint! We had never visited this area before and were blown away by how lovely it was - well worth visiting. We also visited nearby Lyme Park - highly recommended. The hotel is comfortable with a pleasant restaurant. Large, comfy bed (Superior Double).

A wonderful place to stay with friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Everything was great overall. I want to especially thank Alfie for his attentiveness and friendly hospitality. When I am next in Macclesfield. Without a doubt the Leigh Arms will be my first choice for place of stay.. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a boutique inn experience. Location was fantastic a short walk to the town centre, yet in a really quiet and peaceful location. Clean and cosy, a really lovely, quirky home with all you could need in a place to stay. Hosts were lovely, giving all the information needed before check in. Overall, very impressed with the hosts and the home and I will definitely be staying again.

The hotel had an unusual but tasteful style to it which suited the surrounding area. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. The was lots of information about local places to eat and spend time. Laura was on hand at anytime by phone but thankfully everything was perfect so I didn't need to contact her.

From the outside the property is stunning. There were lots of nooks and crannies to sit and relax in the common areas of the hotel. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The staff we encountered were all very attentive and pleasant.
