We stayed overnight on Christmas as we had to travel to see family. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome and at home. We had breakfast on Boxing Day and the meal was exceptional value for money and delicious! Again the staff were amazing! The Inn itself is absolutely beautiful! Our room was very spacious with a lovely king size bed, fire place and underfloor heating in the bathroom! Everything was very clean and beautifully presented!

Everything about trading Boundaries was fabulous. The team at trading boundaries went above and beyond to help us in any way they could. The rooms were amazing, beautifully decorated, cosy and the best beds I have slept in. We enjoyed our stay and I hope to return again one day.

Our pod was so cute, warm & welcoming for our w.e break! It had everything we needed & the beds & bedding were so snug! We also had our own immaculate bathroom a short stroll away. The site and utilities are very well organised. Tim, the owner was very friendly and hospitable. Lynda, the campsite manager was equally lovely. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay. 😌 Best wishes, Kim & Gary

Lovely accommodation. Everything you could possibly need provided for in the kitchen and bathroom. Lovely surprise to find bread, scones, fresh milk and various other lovely treats on our arrival. As well as an excellent selection of teas and coffees. We only stayed for one night but would have happily stayed longer! Excellent instructions before arrival on how to find and access the accommodation as well as how to contact the owners if necessary. However, we had no need to do so as everything was perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The breakfast was wonderful, plentiful, and lots of choice in a lovely sunroom. The hotel is set in a grand, picturesque location surrounded by fields within which is a lake, Beds are very comfortable with French doors opening onto a patio, looking across the fields. An 14th century church is in walking distance, and pleasant walks in the nearby wooded areas. Lovely part of the world, real England.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I have mobility problems, which they addressed. They also waived a need to book food in advance for our party, which was above the limit for general bar service.

The lack of maintenance generally, broken radiator covers,...

The lack of maintenance generally, broken radiator covers, equipment not working and not repaired/replaced when reported, threadbare carpet, bathroom fans and towel rail, mould and dirt in the nonventilated bathroòm, damaged wallpaper, hole in the walk, standard of redecoration very poor and long overdue. Breakfast adequate but the duty chef, 21/10/23. Needs to be retrained, the standard of the food at dinner on 20th was not good with one of our party having to wait ages for his meal. At the moment October 2023 this hotel cannot be regarded as adequate as its 4 star listing and after spending over£400 for a 2 night stay with dinner 1 night I feel let down especially as it was a treat for my wife's birthday. I have lodged a complaint, time will tell!

Maresfield is a village, so it's very peaceful.

Maresfield is a village, so it's very peaceful. There are plenty of opportunities for long walks thanks to the extensive network of public paths. There's also a large park where you can watch cricket, for example. There's also a playground for children. There's a small grocery store for essentials, and of course, the pub where you can eat, drink, and stay overnight.

Beautiful location and a real treasure buried in surrounding Woodland. The Hotel is well presented and has managed to take a period style building and to symapthetically modernise internally but managed to keep a lot of the historical features and a lovely atmosphere inside. Bar area is very relaxing and the evening meal was enjoyable and good choice to select from. In the morning breakfast was excellent and all in all a very comfortable stay. Rooms are well appointed and also very comfortable

Very large, comfortable bed. Room and bathroom were spotless, plenty of tea/coffee but not enough milk (but this happens in almost every hotel 😊). All facilities were excellent. Floorboards were creaky but it's expected in such an old, fabulous building. The young man who greeted me, was welcoming, friendly and professional. Top Drawer! 😊

Hotel was perfect for what we needed - a stopover whilst walking the South Downs path. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful and very good value. Rooms were a tad warm but we opened the windows. Lovely to wake up to no traffic - just birdsong sand church bells.
