The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of hot food, and the evening meals were very good both in the choices available and the quality and quantity served. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We found it a good location to explore Wensleydale.

5 stars is not enough to describe our stay. All of the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms are done up to a very high standard, spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional, there were so many choices at breakfast and staff remembered our preferences from the previous morning. We ate in the hotel for dinner, the menu was amazing and the quality of food even better. We could fault absolutely nothing at this hotel, thank you!

This is an ancient pub in the middle of nowhere (magnificant location for hikers) but within a drive of several small towns. The staff could not have been friendlier, and the food (some from the owner's farm) was superb. We stayed over a second night, and would have stayed a third had it been available. It felt like home, with someone else doing the cooking!

I loved the quirky furnishings. We had a cancellation and booked here last minute .It was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Food in the restaurant was fantastic and again, very attentive staff , it was a lovely place to stay

Wonderful stay and fantastic hosts. Leyburn is very central and therefore a good location to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Parking is free and the room was very clean. Will return for sure. Can recommend to join the pub quiz.

As I hadn't asked for directions we didn't find the private car park but managed to park roadside, but would be best to ask the owner. Lovely room with chunky oak furniture, fittings and bathroom with walk through shower and egg bath in bedroom. Breakfast was fine too.

Good value for money, very big apartament in nice location,...

Good value for money, very big apartament in nice location, fully equipped kitchen AMD living room. Good and spacious bathrooms although noticed no attention to details with finished touches. Apartament looks like recently refurbished feeling like it was done in rush: not finished pipework in bathroom, lack of mirrors in both bathrooms, unfinished walls with fresh paint marks in corridor, leak from ceiling in one bedroom, visible damp.in another one. Slight smell from one bathroom but this is old building. I'm not picky - excellent value for money and really good stay but some things can be improved. Peacocks sitting on widow sils were unforgettable. Fully recommended this accommodation but be prepared that not all is perfect. Thank you for making our weekend - was very nice.

The two properties we booked were spotlessly clean.

The two properties we booked were spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable . The kitchen/ dining area was very spacious and fully equipped. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in the living area ! Fortunately we had swim suits with us ! The good weather allowed us to relax in the courtyard. It was an ideal base for walking in the Dales. Can’t wait to come back !

Stunning area.

Stunning area. The property is top standard with everything you need . It is very relaxing as you are away from the hassle and bustle. Richmond is a short drive and a lovely place with plenty of shops and bars and places to eat . Luxury peaceful retreat.

Lovely decor, comfortable beds, amazing bath, lovely location. The heating wasn’t working at first but the housekeeper gave us alternative heaters and it was all fixed on the second day. Would recommend.

Marske Stables down in the Valley in a quite hamlet.

Marske Stables down in the Valley in a quite hamlet. Luxury appartments that delivered on Luxury& comfort. Decor was tastefully done& furnishings were of a high quality. The bath towels were of really good quality.The bed was really comfortable. The only thing I can make a small point on with the appartment Red Rum no1 is that the boiler for hot water/ heating was noisy in the bedroom we were using at back of Appartment.

The building is delightful.

The building is delightful. Lovely and clean and well maintained. It has a fully equipped kitchen and lovely bathrooms. Beds were comfy. We did have to move the sofas a little to stop neck ache when trying to watch tv. Highly recommend a visit.
