Amazing couple of days away, so peaceful. In a great location. Had everything you would need for a stay and lovely and clean. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the town where you will find a local shop and some pubs. Locals are welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back.

This is character inn in the centre of Middleham. Has a lively atmosphere, with a good mix of people, without any posh tossers. Food was tasty and not expensive. Best thing about it was the staff who were truly exceptional. The cook prepared us something outside of regular hours, the barman offered to come in early to prepare breakfast if we needed an early start, and the floor manager was always ready to help. Prices were excellent. I’ve often paid more for less. We stayed three nights and every morning we watched horses and riders going through town. Small town charm, with Yorkshire hospitality. Thank you all!

We loved staying here, the village was beautiful and the pub amazing! Food was outstanding! Our room was fab, absolutely no complaints. The owner and her team could not have been nicer, especially when we thought we might not make it home due to a bad storm. This spot is a little gem of a find! We enjoyed our stay so much and felt pampered by the staff and facilities the entire time. Such a beautiful surroundings and grounds. We enjoyed our stay very much---would highly recommend!

Only an overnight stay but in a short walk round we found many places of interest and surrounding area is beautiful. We would like to revisit to go round Richard III castle and see the Forbidden Corner.

Beautiful views and walks Friendly people Great pubs And got to see lots of race horses I would highly recommend the Coverbridge Inn that you can walk along the river to probably about 2 miles away. This pub is friendly and a traditional pub with great ales and delicious home cooked food

Picturesque little market village with the added interest of...

Picturesque little market village with the added interest of several race horse stables in the location. A walk up to the gallops early in the morning to watch the horses train is definitely worthwhile, as is a visit to the medieval castle.

Visited The Forbidden Corner which was great fun.

Visited The Forbidden Corner which was great fun. We had a light lunch at the cafe on site, which was nicely presented. Evening meal was taken at the Three Horseshoes which was about a 15 minute drive away. Called in at Aysgarth Waterfalls on the way home the following day. The Forbidden Corner was very busy as it was the school holidays, however as visits are timed, I think this helps when planning a visit.

Great location on the edge of Middleham, close to the Gallops and Castle. Cottage is on different levels as with these converted buildings. Tastefully equipped and decorated throughout.The beds were super comfy. Kitchen was well equipped and nice to have the log burner available. They also supplied a travel cot, which was most helpful.

The cottage was absolutely amazing, has everything you need and more. Been a horse owner myself and having the stables at the back of the property was fantastic. I used to visit middleham years ago with my ex racehorse so was a great trip down memory lane.
