The amazing views made this property for us! It’s an extremely private and peaceful getaway in a great location. It was very clean and organised when we arrived and it had everything we needed! The hot tub was great! The surroundings were relaxing with lovely costal walks. The hosts were friendly and were there to answer any questions. The cabin was spotlessly clean and had a lovely smell. We enjoyed seeing the chickens roaming the grounds and playing fetch with Poppy the dog. The BBQ was easy to use and had the utensils needed for ease. The garden space with the lounge chairs were great for relaxing on in the sunshine. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to book again in the future.

It was so relaxing , the views were beautiful and your left to just enjoy the break. We had howling wind, and that was lovely when your in the hot tub . There is complementary tea and coffee and sugar, although we used these , I made sure to refill them for the next guests .

Three friends catching up. We had the best stay. The place was idillic, the bed was so comfortable. We went I the hot tub, and made amazing memories. The whole experience was a wonderful treat. What more can I say is that we absolutely loved it.

Characterful village with two pubs (great food at The Ancient Mariner) and a well stocked local shop. Great view from the top of the old castle hill. Easy access to local towns and the Quantock Hills.

I was just visiting family who have lived in Nether Stowey for some years so we are very familiar with the village . It is very pleasant in the summer but less so on a dark wet December day such as we have just experienced.

Interesting little village which lives and breathes Samuel...

Interesting little village which lives and breathes Samuel Coleridge Taylor, whose house is open and run by the NT. I guess it makes a useful base for walking the Quantocks and would provide a good overnight stop en route to/from Cornwall.

Amazing , beautifully kept original features in rooms , Owned by 2 sisters , so attention to detail on all areas of our stay was so welcoming , the name sums it all up up Comfort Comfort Comfort a whole castle of it . We loved it , had a dip in heated outdoor pool , a chilled , relaxed environment , beautiful surroundings , food was amazing , staff were so friendly polite , nothing wa too much trouble , can’t wait to go backX Thanks you

Lovely village, would have liked to explore the village and Quantocks a little more but the weather was against us. Nice place to stay for some fantastic rambles and horse riding. We stayed and ate at the Ancient Mariner, very comfortable and amazing food, hospitality and staff.

- Free secure car parking and plenty - Free upgrade to a bigger room, due to the hotel not being fully booked (very nice gesture from the hotel) - Beautiful gardens - Friendly welcoming staff - Clean bathroom and bedding - Tea and coffee making facilities - Dinner was surprisingly amazing, locally sourced produce, really nice selection of meals with good portion sizes.

The gardens are truly lovely - albeit that we were only staying for the one night and so could not truly enjoy them Only one pub serving food in Nether Stowey

The Stable Block Cottage was cute and cosy and the setting in the grounds of the Old House was amazing. Beautiful gardens that we were able to use on the sunny days. Lots of character and only a couple minutes easy walk to two pubs and a well stocked shop.
