Lovely country pub stay. Rooms were fitted out to very high standards, the food was excellent, and the location was great for us. We could spend time in Newcastle then visit hadrians wall and have a short trip back to our accommodation.

Stayed in the Greenwich room on our honeymoon and it was enchanting. Amazing window seat and atmosphere. Dinner and breakfast were great too. We took the complimentary tour in the morning up to the battlements on top of the castle and enjoyed the views and history.

What a lovely place to stay when visiting Hadrian's Wall! We had a beautiful view overlooking the river and bridge. The room was large and comfortable. Brian, the owner, was very kind and generous with his time and allowed us to use the laundry facilities knowing that we'd been traveling for weeks. He's a fun and interesting conversationalist as well! We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!
