    Traditional hotel, but clean and well decorated We were there lass that 24 hrs but found the staff to be pleasant and the food good It was a perfect stop over on the way to Scotland - but could have stayyed longer

    Great location and beautiful looking hotel and spa, two night stay, bed size real issue, very small double, well used bed, dated hotel. Pool and sauna and steam room was ok, pool cold. Food great on valentine's night, waited very long time after asking multiple staff for a drink. Second night restaurant food, not good cold food, kitchen staff argument and lots of ppl getting the wrong food. Staff look like they have been working 16 hour shifts. Unorganised mess at times, very short staffed. Hotel needs an injection of cash, spent on it asap. Get rid of the awful curtains..

    Newby Bridge is a very old and characterful area.

    Newby Bridge is a very old and characterful area. There aren't any pubs other than the Swan Hotel and Lakeside Hotel , which are great. The walks are wonderful around the lake . Will return when the steam train is running.

    We had a great stay.

    We had a great stay. We travelled around the lakes taking in places of interest. We felt 5 days would have done instead of 7 days. The site needed some maintenance around the grounds, trees could have been better maintained and ground cover cut back. It's ideal for people wanting a quiet stay but is handy for the tourist attractions.

    Beautiful location with plenty of places to visit nearby.

    Beautiful location with plenty of places to visit nearby. We take the steam railway a short walk away to lake Windermere and then a boat trip. Suits us. The hotel also has a gym and swimming pool facility which is a nice bonus.

    Car park was too far from the hotel but everything else were...

    Car park was too far from the hotel but everything else were amazing. Breakfast and dinner were lovely in the restaurant. Location was great and easy to get to. We enjoyed the Lake District, the boat and steam train ride. The room was lovely and clean and well laid out. We didn't have to go to far to get to our room. The bed and pillows were rather comfy. The hotel staff were really lovely, friendly, polite and helpful. Overall hospitality was excellent.

    Gem of a hotel. Quirky layout with both old world charm and modern facilities. The staff were exceptional, helpful and friendly. Service was VG. Especially Lisa and Scott. Breakfast was very good. There was an extensive menu and food was great. Reception staff were welcoming and knowledgable. Great location only a short walk to the lakeside

    We had lunch in the bar area that was delicious. We checked into our room and the room was gorgeous loved it. The spa is amazing! We had dinner in the restaurant at night the food was fantastic. The staff are all lovely and attentive. The beds so comfortable. The breakfast was yummy. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    Pretty location right next to Lake Windermere. The hotel was warm, clean & spacious and the staff were professional, polite and friendly. We had a couple of drinks in the bar and a good meal in the Brasserie Restaurant. Our room was clean, comfortable and warm.

    Good breakfast. Easy walk along path near lake to The Swan Hotel & Newby Bridge Hotel for evening meals. The walk back was pitch black as no street lights, so get a hat with a torch if you plan to do this walk in the dark.
