Newport was recommended to us by several people.

Newport was recommended to us by several people. In spite of the wet weather we enjoyed our trip. Pretty village, interesting shops including Ffynnon, amazing selection of books, candles, art and much more. Great places to eat especially Lys Meddyg. Beaches nearby. A good place to visit, quiet and peaceful but it was early Autumn. I imagine it gets very busy in summer, but children would no doubt love it 😊

A lovely little town with lots of small shops selling local produce, art and useful gear for the beach. Some great pubs and places to eat and a great, friendly welcome from everyone. Well worth spending some time there

Newport Sands, Parrog and River Nevern Estuary are fantastic, as is the walking on the coastal path. There are many other great places within reach like Carn Ingli Common, Pentre Ifan Neolithic Burial Chamber and Pengelli Forest inland, and Pwllgwaelod Beach. Plenty of Craft Shops, Pubs, and other places to eat.

We were visiting for my daughter's wedding so didn't do a lot of sightseeing but can recommend Blas at Fronlas as a cafe as well as accommodation and also the Secret Garden for evening food. Pretty scenery. Can also recommend Nantwen as a wedding venue. Just a pointer, if you have limited mobility the parking is down a long hill in a public pay and display and there are a few steps up to the beautiful rooms above the cafe. Blas at Fronlas Cafe shuts at about 3.30 but guests have a key for the front door and if you need it a ring doorbell. We felt so welcome.

The Pottery is a wonderful property. Excellent choice of furniture and fittings. There was a choice of sitting areas and a large dining table. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, dishwasher, washing machine, and even Japanese knives. A definite bonus in Newport is that there is a designated parking space. All of the bedrooms were well fitted out, again with luxury bedding and towels.

Charming location right in the centre of picturesque Newport (above the post office!) The house is spacious and quirky, very cosy and old style (once the heat got going). Really comfortable nicely dressed beds. Well equipped kitchen. Generous sized sitting room and separate dining room. Lots of room for our family group of 5.. we enjoyed our stay here.

An old manor house in its own pleasant grounds in an excellent location, being very near to Newport. Breakfast choices were plenty and varied, coffee was good and we liked the breakfast room. Our beds were comfortable. Staff seemed pleasant and hard working.
