Owner and staff were extremely friendly. Whilst travelling alone for work its always nice to stay in a friendly and open environment, and this hotel certainly didn't disappoint. After been given my room key of a lovely room I went downstairs for dinner and a drink in the nice pub/restaurant. After dinner I had a chat with the owner and staff whom were all very friendly. I was there for work, but if I would be going on holiday in the area, i would definitely stay a few nights with them again. I can recommend!

Tina, the host, was always welcoming, in contact continually, and was personable at every opportunity. The information and continual contact made us feel valued as customers at all times. The rooms and all surroundings were tastefully decorated. Every need was catered for, with nothing too much effort from Tina. Excellent customer service from start to finish. I've known Newtown a little most of my life.

I've known Newtown a little most of my life. It's a fairly sleepy place, since a full East-West by-pass was completed in recent years It's still a full-size Welsh town with all the usual facilities, but situated in some absolutely beautiful Welsh countryside. A great centre for a touring holiday.

A small market town.

A small market town. One would really want to visit to explore the area by walking or cycling. It is very quiet and rural with beautiful countryside. There are plenty of takeaways, cafes, pubs and supermarkets on town.

Its a small town on the river, with very few cars so the air quality good. The people are very friendly and the pubs and cafes accomodating. Went to walk by the river so the length of stay just right but if I'd gone for longer I'd get a train north to Aberystwyth for the day, not a bad rail service.

Helen and Tim are great hosts. The vicarage is just up the road from Newtown and a nice pub nearby. The grounds were great and the rooms immaculate and finished really nice and with very comfortable beds. Wifi is good and there are smart tv`s in the rooms. There is charging for electric cars. The breakfast was amazing with lots of locally sourced different options. Stunning scenery all around. Our family group loved it and we will be looking forward to staying there again. thanks for a lovely stay.

Fabulous hotel with a lot of character , set in a prime position on the main street and right by the lovely River Severn . I had a very comfortable and quiet night's sleep after a long walk by the water . Newtown also has many good shops and very helpful people . Very good stay ! 😊
