The peaceful environment with amazing views of the countryside. Very spotless property lovely touch with the welcome pack on arrival. Great walks of the Orchard and beyond. Welcoming staff and well appointed common areas. Bar open even though we arrived very late so we could get a nightcap. Bed comfortable. Bathroom was excellent with loads of hot water for a relaxing bath. Breakfast was superb. If you stay, make sure you add breakfast. Arrived too late to try the brasserie unfortunately but we will stay again and give it a go. The absolute stand out item.. biscuits on the tea tray in the room. Something corporate owned hotels have decided to cut back on to save money but it makes the experience so much better munching on a ginger and chocolate cookie with your tea.

Breakfast was served in the breakfast room and it was lovely to be served. The building was very old and quirky but was well maintained and the rooms were large and decorated tastefully, There is a beautiful courtyard out the back overlooking the countryside where we had drinks before going inside to have some dinner. You can also sit out the front and watch the world go by. Car parking is out the back by the courtyard. Lizzy was a great hostess and was able to answer all my husbands questions about the hotel. My husband and I loved this hotel.

Lovely hotel combining old fashion charm with every modern convenience. Provided the little extras that are missing from some accommodation places. Delicious breakfast and lovely evening meals. Good sized room and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Would certainly stay again if ever in the area.
