Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere. Free parking, Lovely and great first impression of room. It was clean, cozy, very well maintained, stylish, very spacious modern rooms itself was well equipped and comfortable. Wonderful place. I was very pleased with my stay. I travelled to Clatterbridge Hospital on business and stayed at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa because it is close to the Hospital (5 min ride by taxi). The room was very comfortable, we had a splendid view and enjoyed the delicious breakfasts in the beautiful dining hall. Staff is very kind and helpful.

Great place for a weekend away, Found plenty of good places to eat and a great independent clothes shop. The ice cream shop seemed to get plenty of business even in November! Pleasant walk along the promenade with views over the marshland (Lovely if you are interested in bird watching)

Apart from the hotel and local pubs the holiday was really made by the glorious weather as we found little of interest in Parkgate itself. Ness Botanical Gardens was excellent and well worth the ten minute drive.

Having grown up here, it was great to have an excellent base...

Having grown up here, it was great to have an excellent base to revisit many places of personal significance on the Wirral, and to meet up with relatives. The Wirral Way and King Charles III coastal path provided an excellent walk to West Kirby (good bus service for return!). Good selection of places to eat on The Parade itself, and Nicholl's ice cream never fails to disappoint!! The marshes provide a wonderful haven for much birdlife, and if that's your thing, you MUST visit RSPB Burton Mere Wetlands. Amazing!! So many places to visit are within easy reach by car. Chester is also accessible by bus from Parkgate Parade.

Parkgate was a lovely place to visit, I only wished we could have stayed longer. Probably the best place I have stayed at and I travel a lot with my work. The Ship is the best place to eat, drink and stay, with the bus stop right outside. Can't think of anything negative about here

Lovely scenic views , a nice flat promenade next to the Dee with views of Wales. Great for bird watchers, ( we are not bird watchers but gave it a go) lovely ice cream shop would definitely recommend.

Anyone visiting Parkgate should see 'BBC Villagers by the...

Anyone visiting Parkgate should see 'BBC Villagers by the Sea' https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001c3wm/villages-by-the-sea-series-3-parkgate If you are interested in the history of the village, pop into the Red Lion where they sometimes have great live music and old photos of Parkgate in the back room. If you're lucky the owner will give you a potted history of the village that he clearly loves.

Beautiful cottage and immaculately clean. Plenty of parking and on the main road of Parkgate, less than a 1 min walk to pubs and restaurants etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we can’t wait to return. Fliss and Ronnie were really helpful and quick to respond to any messages. Great WiFi connection for those who need to work whilst away and everything you need to cook/clean provided. Thanks again x

The room was beautiful with a great view across the marsh. Loved having binoculars so we could watch the birds. Also the books on the table were really interesting to read about the history of Neston/Parkgate and local walks in the area. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of items to choose from. Staff very friendly and very helpful. A lovely stay and we will return again.

Beautiful home, spotlessly clean (understatement of the century!), decor is so clean, fresh and tastefully done and very in keeping with Parkgate. The layout for 5 worked really well. The bathroom is downstairs but didn’t have any impact for us at all. The log burner was amazing… such a treat!
