Such a classic old charming hotel, it was like sleeping on a film set! I loved everything from the comfy bed and the spacious room/bathroom to the sound of the crushing waves at night. The service was excellent (for example the spontaneous laundry service which was very inexpensive). Highly recommend if you like a hotel with history and character.

I am so glad we found this lovely little place to stay for the Easter weekend! What a gem! Beautiful cottage, in a gorgeous location, with delicious treats provided by Adele. This fully self-contained private apartment/flat is perfect for a short or long stay. This property is very spacious, clean and comfortable – the beautiful garden with seating is a bonus. All fittings and appliances as well as the bed are of high quality. Sue went out of her way to facilitate our stay and help us celebrate a special occasion. She also provided us with advice regarding places to visit. A special welcome pack was appreciated. Free and safe on-site parking is provided – always preferred when using a rental vehicle. The location is ideally situated with St Michael's Mount (Marazion), The Minack Amphitheatre (Porthcurno) and St Ives reachable by public transport. The St Erth to St Ives train ride is recommended – saves you trying to park in St Ives and you get to see the views from another perspective.

Our room was spacious, clean, well furnished and nicely decorated. The best of all though was big and bright bathroom. Location of the place was convenient for our travels. Surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. Our hosts were nice and friendly. Tony gave us helpful tips on what to see and where to eat 😊

The sea water lido on the shore, with a geothermal section was a big hit with us. We enjoyed walking along the promendate and watching the variable sea, sometimes crashing against the formidable sea wall. Our main attraction for choosing Penzance was the ferry to St Marys, Isles of Scilly, which is doable as a day trip. The ferry port is at the end of the promendate, easily accessible. There are good bus services to various destinations in the area, such as Mousehole and St Ives.

A real working town with an arty side.

A real working town with an arty side. Penlee House is worth a visit for interesting representations of the Newlyn School. A walk along the coast path, with its iconic view of St Michael's Mount, is a delight. The Morrab Gardens and Penlee Park provide a relaxing break from the bustle of the town. The train trip to St Ives is wonderfully scenic and provides further artistic treats in The Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth's sculpture garden.

Close to the main attractions like St Ives , the Lizard , Lamorna Wink . Lots of places to have a snack or just a coffee at reasonable prices . Bus service excellent , easy to use , better than the car at times as roads very narrow. We found a Pub called the The Long Boat , as OAP ,s they served a 3 course meal In the evenings for £10.95 . Soup , main ,also choice of two sweets . We enjoyed this place as clean , food lovely ,enough for a smaller appetite.at the right price ! As well as the staff .

We love Penzance as a base for our Cornish holidays.

We love Penzance as a base for our Cornish holidays. We usually have a short break there because we know it so well, but always come away wanting more. Penzance is a very handy location for easy access to all the popular destinations in that area, whilst offering a good base itself for culture, festivals, art galleries, fishing history and easy walking access to Newlyn, Mousehole and St. Michael’s Mount. And definitely worth visiting are the Turk’s Head and the Admiral Benbow, the two oldest pubs in town and both steeped in ancient Cornish history.

Very clean and comfortable. The location is great, close to all area especially Mousehole which is a must place to visit in Cornwall. A short 10-15 mins drive can get you to few beautiful town. Free street parking and you will always find a place to park if you can’t reserve the parking space of the property. The apartment is gorgeous, everything looks modern and honestly very clean, same standards as a proper hotel. To be fair, it is worth the values :) we enjoyed our stays!

Friendly proprietor and the more sociable atmosphere of breakfast in a guest house environment rather than a hotel - an excellent breakfast at that - freshly cooked to guests' 'specifications'. Convenient for buses and trains from Penzance to other Cornish destinations including outstanding views from the South West Coast Path tackled after a hearty breakfast and a packed lunch requested. Access to kitchen facilities are a bonus.

We didn't get a response to there not being a gate key. The toilet being downstairs became annoying by the end of a week. A shelf in the shower to put things would be a great addition. Great location, nice views, cute little place to enjoy Penzance and Cornwall
