I used to live in Petersfield over 20 years ago and had not been back since. It was even more charming than I remember and has even better shopping facilities, but also good to see some shops still going after 20 plus years.

I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back...

I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back fairly regularly to visit family and friends. It’s a lovely market town and there is the Heath Lake which is very scenic. The shops have improved since I last visited and there are now some very good bars/restaurants. We ate mostly at Wetherspoon because we had to eat out a few times. The food is good and a very good price. There is a railway which gives easy access to Portsmouth and London.

I actually came to meet up with family. I fou nd the area well located for visits to other towns and villages. It is such a lovely area I was only there for two nights .We ate at the restaurant at Sky Park Deer Farm. There are excellent pubs and restaurants nearby

A pleasant small market town with good facilities.

A pleasant small market town with good facilities. Within range of national Trust properties, and other towns like Minstead. Good road and rail connections, but watch out for the "average speed zones" particularly on the A272 !!

A charming village near the glorious South Downs.

A charming village near the glorious South Downs. We had difficulty finding somewhere to eat on the Sunday night but Ruby and Monty was a little gem of a restaurant (Italian - pizza/pasta) that accommodated us at short notice - they served the best salads and bruschetta I have ever eaten!

Exceeded our expectations. More hotel than pub. Large comfortable clean room with giant bed and bath. Plenty of coffee/tea in the room. Good parking. Inclusive basic serve yourself continental breakfast. Nice country walks from doorstep. 30mins to Chichester. Self check in, in fact we never saw a single member of staff during our 2 night stay, but there was clear details how to contact one if needed. Suited us! Bar/restaurant not open Sun or Mon.

We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so when visiting family and friends. The rooms are comfortable and clean thanks to the lovely Yvonne who always has a smile. The owners are friendly and always on hand to help with a query. The breakfast is always good home cooked food. The location is also great you are very near to the A3 and also Petersfield with lots of local amenities surrounded by beautiful countryside.
