My room was so beautiful and had everything I could’ve possibly needed! It was easy to use the lockbox to check in and the bath was so lovely. The property was very clean and the bed was really comfy. I had a lovely stay and would definitely come again.

We stayed in the little seperate apartment, which was like a little cottage. We had a very warm welcome from Matt after a long drive from London. The breakfast was lovely.

This is not the first time I stayed here, and if it's up to me, it won't be my last. Ample parking, nice outdoor seating areas, great food, very tasty ales, comfi rooms and friendly staff. And a great breakfast to set you on your way. What more can one ask?

Very well decorated little cottage. Little farm shop with long opening times is a great plus. Beds are comfortable, with a spacious back garden with rabbits (?) wandering around. Bathroom is also great.

The Retreat is a beautiful property in the heart of Devon, it has all the modern devises that you can dream for cooking and the touch of having a TV set , built into the bed… but just amazing! I did enjoyed so much my stay surrounded by design, peace, and stylist decoration. The landlord was always available and helpful with our requests. We are so pleased that we had our little retreat there. Absolutely we recommend to everyone.

Ideal place to park your car outside the property.

Ideal place to park your car outside the property. If you need to get away from a pressured life this is the place for you. We found the place by Sat Nav. but we did find immediately we were near the location, we did seem to lose GPS signal. We went on a steam train ride to Totnes, we went Exmouth and went on a hour and half ride on a boat. And we went to pretty Lyme Regis
