quaint character and charming property set in a beautiful location. As a solo traveller it was lovely to be welcomed by friendly hosts who had good local knowledge that they were happy to share with me. The double room is stunning with unspoilt country side views.

Contrary to what I expected as I thought it was going to be a room above the pub, it was not. It was a separate purpose built building next to the pub, the room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. We had pets and the room even came with its own small walled yard. Plenty of space for parking the car. The Landlady Daphne is very friendly and welcoming as well as all her staff, and the food at the pub was exquisite! The village is lovely surrounded by beautiful countryside fields. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We loved the pub! A friendly cosy pub. We visited to celebrate 2 family birthdays and we were a large group of 13. The facilities of the huts were perfect - comfy beds and really lovely kitchen and bathroom. Great countryside location. The pub served excellent food and breakfast was definitely a highlight.

Sandra is lovely. The breakfast was phenomenal. There are many delicious options to choose from. I want to stay longer next time so I can try some more of them. The peaceful countryside was beautiful. The views across the valley from the rooms are spectacular.

Place was amazing. Wonderful location, although given there was no address provided other than the Clocktower we were a bit worried if we could locate the place. As it was the GPS took us straight to the address of 'Lower Catesby' and the Clocktower. The temporary BNB sitters were wonderful and informative and we met the owners the next day. They too were also wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing; the room was huge and wonderfully appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay and moreso. To top it off it snowed and the surroundings looked like something out of a Christmas post card. The sitting room and glass covered patio were also available for guests to use, so it was just a wonderful place to visit and stay.

It was very clean and presented beautifully. The bed and pillows were comfy and the bathroom was ideal for someone with a disability. The fridge was very handy also. Tea and coffee facilities and biscuits were available also.

We had a lovely night away.

We had a lovely night away. A bonus that it has it has it’s own Chinese takeaway! The hotel staff were very friendly and it’s a dog friendly hotel. Such a lovely quiet location in a picturesque village. The only downside was no outside bins to put dog poop in. We will definitely visiting again.

exactly as described quaint and quirky, very informative check in, explained everything very well. Pleasant staff, nice beer garden, Chinese takeaway on site to order food if required. Would have like a shelf in the shower to put shower gel etc on as shower was very small, but that would be the only thing to add. A couple of extra hooks as we had no wardrobe in our room.Would stay again for short trip.

Character Inn,friendly efficient staff.

Character Inn,friendly efficient staff. Restaurant is a take away but you can sit at a table to eat or take to your room.Stairs fairly steep and narrow not for anyone.Breakfast self service from landing which was ideal but no cooked food.Self checkout,great arrangement.Single room,bijou but perfectly appointed and decorated, adequate size for a single.
