Situated literally on the West Highland Way, it’s the perfect refuge after completing the second day. The huge shower was also welcome. Very kind staff, from reception to bar, everybody was excellent. Had great food and a couple of drinks in a nice environment.

The most amazing location on the bank of Loch Lomond. Views from the comfy sitting room are unbeatable. We enjoyed a lovely rest day here from the West Highland Way, lying on the grass and looking at/swimming in the lake. Friendly staff gave us great service, thanks Tony, Sam, Barry and co.

I was upgrade from bunks to a king bed and it was truly needed after the walk I had done. The overall customer service was amazing. Euan couldn’t have been more helpful, he even offered to have dinner waiting for me as he know I would miss the pub kitchen closing time. The room was a perfect size and very clean and tidy. The shower was most needed and good size for me to wash away the days walking. All in all a very pleasant place to stay.

Breakfast was lovely and I so enjoyed the silver teapot in the table. Food was hearty and hot. Service was great. The Hamilton room was gorgeous. Loved the high ceilings and it had the best shower on our entire 9 day trip around Scotland and England. Ground floor room easy access to the car.

Great location and views.

Great location and views. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms were clean comfortable and good value. Spent a very comfortable night in all. Didn’t mind stripping bed in am and disposing of linen to be cleaned. It was reassuring that we had clean linen. In some other places we weren’t sure if this was the case. I would recommend Rowardennan to others.

We expected it to be nice but when we arrived we were simply blown away by the lodge and the peaceful park it is based in. The lodge was spacious and clean and had everything a family needed for a relaxing break. The bedrooms were great and the shower and bath facility was also top class. The WiFi was as good as anywhere I've ever stayed and the park with private beach was truly spectacular. We couldn't recommend this place more if we tried and will be coming back every year as the owner was very helpful and friendly as well.

The lodge is beautiful and has everything you need.

The lodge is beautiful and has everything you need. The local shops are very far away so please take everything you need food and drink as you won’t want to drive as the road in and out isn’t great. The restaurant pub on site is not worth your visit, the food is very poor and it’s very dirty. The site is quiet and the shore is lovely but you cannot see it from the lodge and is a short walk down. I wouldn’t go back due to the location , it was too remote for us

Rowardennan is at the end of a road.

Rowardennan is at the end of a road. It has access to Ben Lomond for hill walkers and is part of the West Highland Way route. Apart from that there is nothing there except the hotel and water sports from what we could see!

The location was stunning.

The location was stunning. The hostel was clean and well equipped. Plenty of parking and the staff were always really helpful. Would highly recommend staying at the hostel. Would definitely re visit. Perfect location for what we wanted as we it was our plan to climb Ben Lomond ~ once we climbed it, it was perfect as we got to cool down in the loch afterwards. The hostel has its own private beach area and a jetty to swim from

Loch Lomond shore is a few minutes walk from the cottage.

Loch Lomond shore is a few minutes walk from the cottage. The views from every room, including the two conservatories were amazing. Our dog sat in the conservatory watching Sheep TV for hours. So happy it was dog friendly. All of the amenities were modern and plentiful, especially the kitchen. So stylish. Lots of hand made and interesting pieces around the villa. Gorgeous.

We seriously overestimated how quickly we could walk from Milngavie to Rowardennan (West Highland Way). Set off at 8:30, only get to the Hostel at midnight. Messaged ahead through Booking.com to alert property. Good as good word, Duncan left our keys and instructions at reception. Really grateful.

Lovely location, not much to do except walks and watersports but its peaceful. Handy having the hotel and shop nearby. The cabin itself is large and we were grateful to the electric heater as it was cool at times. Parking at the back of the cabin which was handy.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful and very comfy. The cabin had everything you needed and was really cosy after a day out walking the hills. The Rowardennan Hotel was open for food and drinks, which is only 1 minute away. Had a swim in the loch, too. Lovely trip.
