I wasn't sure what to expect with part of the name being "rooms" and coming into reception behind the building, but it was just lovely. This is a lovely old hotel that has been fixed up very nicely. The man at the desk was so cheerful and helpful. There is a Thai restaurant in the building too that is loved by tourists and locals alike.. Our mattress was comfortable. We were 3 floors up that gave us a view of the lake there and it was nice to sit in the sunshine in the bay window

Hotel was central to all amenities but in a quiet setting opposite the Park. Room was comfortable & clean. Staff friendly & very helpful. Food in the restaurant ( evenings) was freshly cooked & delicious.

Comfortable, warm and welcoming unit opposite the small boat harbour. On street parking right outside, and a really friendly bar a 2 minute walk away. Scampi at the local fish and chip shop is delicious, with plenty of gluten free options. Owners super responsive. Were very sad to leave.

Perfect location in village, within a few minutes walking distance of local pub, cafe, shop and coastal path walks. Lovely host who lives in same yard but your privacy well respected. Very well equipped and clean property.

St Cyrus is a great location to visit many places of...

St Cyrus is a great location to visit many places of interest, from St Cyrus Nature reserve, to Montrose, to Johnshaven, Lunan Bay, Arbroath. Beautiful landscapes for artist or photographers. great beaches for kids & dogs. Good village shop & post office Unfortunately the St Cyrus pub & restaurant is now closed. You need to drive to all the beaches.

I was disappointed that there wasn't a connecting footpath...

I was disappointed that there wasn't a connecting footpath between St Cyrus Holiday Park and St Cyrus village. I didn't have a car and it meant I had to walk along the grass verge of the A92 road for some of the way to and from the village. St Cyrus is a small village with a shop that is also the village post office. St Cyrus beach is impressive and fairly popular. The beach sits below the village. There is an hourly bus transport link to either Stonehaven or Aberdeen or to either Montrose, Arbroath or Dundee in the other direction. I have to confess that I returned home a day early due to the inclement weather. However I did have a day of good weather where I visited Lunan Bay. There is also a beach you can walk to from St Cyrus Holiday Park which is called Tangleha and is nice too.

St Cyrus has changed from the village I knew as a boy.

St Cyrus has changed from the village I knew as a boy. Lots of new houses but, as yet, little sign of new amenities. However, important things which have not changed are the cliffs and the magnificent beach area plus the tranquil feeling as you walk up to the Church and the school. If only the water was a little warmer!
