Everything was wonderful, especially the bread for breakfast! I only wish there was some savory bits to enjoy the bread with (ham/cheese).

My hostess Leigh, who is also the owner, was very gracious and generous during my stay. I asked for an evening meal upon arrival and she cooked the tenderest stuffed chicken I've ever had, amazing. I asked for a clothesline so I could hang up my washed clothes & was shown the location, so I was relieved I could do that. She also told me about a Shakespearean comedic play, which I attended and enjoyed immensely. Her BnB is a beautiful old building on beautiful grounds, and very close to the little shopping area and some restaurants on Sark. Breakfast was always delicious English style food. The hotel is in a good location, close to some shops & restaurants. I even trekked to La Coupee and La Seigneurie!

The room was very comfortable. I have stayed in most of the rooms in this hotel and this was one of the best. Separate bedroom and sitting area were a bonus. The room was very clean with a good selection of refreshments that were refreshed daily.

What guests said about Sark:

Quiet and peaceful.

Quiet and peaceful. Great for walking and places to stop for a cup of tea and a piece of cake. Book restaurants as many are not open in the off season. Wherever you dine one evening ask as to which establishments will be open the following evening (everyone seems to know). The system works well when you know.

If you want to go back in time and experience a peaceful, quirky place where bikes and tractors rule, Sark is your place. We took the dog and he ran free whilst we explored on bikes. A perfect place for 2/3 days where you switch off, relax and eat very well!

We were lucky and had excellent weather.

We were lucky and had excellent weather. Sark is a fascinating place, it's like stepping back in time. All the restaurants catered for all our tastes (ages 70 to 9) and the food was good and the restaurants very relaxed. Make sure you book meals at high season. The water is crystal clear for swimming and the coastline is beautiful. It's well worth hiring bikes to see the Island properly.

Sark is just so different. A real escape.

Sark is just so different. A real escape. You need to be reasonably fit and happy to walk or cycle. The other alternative is horse and cart but not at night. Finding a light lunch isn't easy as most places seem to expect visitors to want a full meal at lunchtime. Also eating places aren't well geared for vegetarians. Time and Tide was excellent for an evening meal. For sweet treats, The Yard and Caragh. If you love to escape from the stresses and strains of everyday living, Sark is the oerfect place to visit. We stayed at La Moinerie for 1 night. Super place to stay and we could have happily stayed another night/had another day on the island.

The peace and tranquillity was wonderful, freedom from light and noise pollution amazing. The beaches were difficult to access for someone not familiar with the routes to them, and signposting could have been better.

Sark is a unique, gorgeous place with a warm, community feel about it. As there are no motorised vehicles except the tractors, it is like no other place we have been to and to say we feel refreshed and rejuvenated is an understatement. It is the ideal place for walking and seeing the beautiful scenery from every aspect of this picturesque island. Take good walking shoes and enjoy. We left Sark and felt as though we were leaving home and family.

Beautiful views on all sides, lovely homely property with a pool that we got to use almost everyday despite changeable weather. We enjoyed our after swim hot chocolate from the shop. Great location for adventures in Little Sark and Dixcart. We weren’t brave enough to try Grande Greve, so maybe next time!
