The cottage is so well appointed and thoughtfully equipped and Near Sawrey is a lovely, peaceful spot. Croft End is well situated for Hilltop (Beatrix Potter house and gardens) and the Tower Bank Arms, just a minute's walk away, and there are great walks in all directions from the doorstep. We used our car very little. The cottage itself is cozy and felt very spacious for a family of three and a dog. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms wonderfully dark at night. The kitchen was great for self catering and we cooked most of our meals. Also, thank you for your little library of books about the history of the area - they really helped to enhance our stay. We were sad to go, even though we had a rainy visit!

We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. We loved our room especially the powerful shower. Upon arrival we had dinner in the restaurant and headed straight to the spa. The spa has amazing facilities, we especially enjoyed the outdoor heated swimming pool. The breakfast was delicious and had on offer a wide variety of different foods. The location of the hotel was superb, it was in the town center but we felt like we really were away from everything. Overall, it was a very relaxing break-away in the Lakes.

Overall, everything was perfect. The room was large enough, the supplies were sufficient, and the service staff were very kind and tried their best to meet all our needs during our stay. I have to mention Charlie, he is seriously the funniest person I have ever met in the UK. The hot tub should be the biggest feature of this hotel. My wife and I enjoyed it for three whole days and were very satisfied. The price/performance ratio is very good. The hotel is located in the middle of the two towns of Bowness and Windermere, and it is very convenient to walk to both towns. In any case, I will definitely recommend this hotel next time I come to the Lake District, or if my friends want to travel to the Lake District.

Sawrey is two gorgeous little villages with walks and two fine inns serving food and drink. We were there out of season, so didn't have to deal with the swarms of crowds around Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's house.

We loved oyr stay at Belle Green, and we certainly plan to return! The location is very authentic and scenic and the landlord and his wife were very friendly and helpful! Our room was comfortable and romantic. The bathroom was well equipped and breakfast was excelkent
