Wonderful coastal town with lovely cafes and quirky shops.

Wonderful coastal town with lovely cafes and quirky shops. beach is lovely and there are many wonderful local places to visit such as the Felbrigg Hall estate, Blakeney, Cley, Siffkey, Holt and Cromer. We recommend lunch or an afternoon tea at Wiveton hall (situated between Cley and Blakeney) Food is delicious and staff are so friendly. The Reef leisure centre, situated on Weybourne road is perfect for families and toddlers love the splash play area. The steam train is a huge attraction and for anyone wanting to venture slightly further afield for the day there is an excellent train service into Norwich and you can be there within fifty minutes. Pretty corner woods is well worth a visit, or two or three. Parking is free and entrance to the woodland is free. Its a magical place to explore. There is an excellent Tesco and Sainsburys supermarket in the town and North Walsham Waitrose will deliver to your holiday home. Sheringham really is a perfect family holiday location.

Sheringham is one of my favourite places.

Sheringham is one of my favourite places. The train stop is right at the top of the street and there is a steam train there too. The road down to the beach is lined with shop after shop selling everything you could think of. Lots of charity shops and gift shops and cafes. Close to the beach there are arcades and ice cream parlours and then there is a slope walkway down to the beach.

Some good cafés & snack places but the restaurants weren’t anything special. The fish & chips weren’t very good & nowhere seemed to have the other fish dishes on the menu, available. Small and flat, so easy to get around, but just a street really. For a 3-generation family, it was a nice place to relax on a seaside holiday but there isn’t a great deal to do otherwise.

Sheringham is a small place on the coast.

Sheringham is a small place on the coast. Good for a base to travel around the Norfolk Coast. Not sure you could spend more than a couple of days in the actual place itself - there are shops and pubs but not loads. Lovely coastal path walk. We stayed over end of season. If you want to be by the sea and do a long brisk walk then yes, great.

Proper little seaside town - but therefore popular and busy!!! The bank nepalese restaurant is fab, steam train is lovely, visit the bird sanctuary near Cley - great views across the marshes and fab bacon butties! Sheringham Trawler for sit down best fish & chips - and of course The Fishmongers Tavern is the best accommodation 😎

Overall, this was a really lovely stay. The flat was spotlessly clean and well appointed, and the location was good in the sense that it was only a short walk into Sheringham, a classic Norfolk seaside town with a beautiful beach and some nice places to eat. The Marmalade bistro was a particular favourite! The North Norfolk railway is also just across the way, which is expensive but a great afternoon out. The bed was comfortable and the living area was a really nice space.

Location was great and quiet. Short walk to seafront and restaurants with available parking. The hosts, Lucy and John were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was great with a good selection of cereals, fruit, yogurts, juices, home made jam and freshly prepared English breakfasts to order. The property has been modernised to a good standard with high standard of cleanliness. Good place to stay in Sheringham.

We loved our stay at The Armory and exploring the local area from there. We were very comfortable as a family of 5 (children 11, 8 and 5 years). We loved that we could comfortably walk to the beach in Sheringham - for us it was a perfect location. Everything was in good working order and the kitchen well equipped with plenty of essentials already provided). We enjoyed the small back garden which is well furnished.
