We didn't visit shipston itself but used it as a base for visiting other places, it's very well placed to do so, what I can say about shipston itself having passed through is that it's very picturesque and beautiful

Fantastic range of restaurants and pubs.

Fantastic range of restaurants and pubs. The town had a wonderful atmosphere, with lots of historic buildings. The Bower House restaurant- highly recommended and the Horseshoe pub, not to be missed.

Pretty little Cotswold town only 3 miles from Moreton-in-the-Marsh, 8 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon and 25 miles from Warwick Castle with the usual facilities expected of a small town - chemist, pubs, fish and chips etc. Nicely placed for touring the area and we also managed to visit Batsford Arboretum (the café and garden centre) for some lunch. You would not be short of things to do in the area. We were at a wedding at Blackwell Grange (a bespoke wedding venue) and this was an ideal spot to stay. Definitely want to come back to explore the area in more detail. https://www.cotswolds.info/places/shipston-on-stour.shtml

It's a busy little town with plenty of character and places to eat and drink. The surrounding rolling countryside is very pretty, and Shipston itself is only about 11 miles away from Stratford-upon-Avon.

Shipston is a good location to be based at in order to explore the towns and villages around the Cotswolds. We ate in 3 restaurants in Shipston. The George and Buon Gusto which were both very nice with reasonably priced good food. We also ate in The Bower House, which provided really wonderful food.

Really lovely village.

Really lovely village. The George Hotel is a great place to stay. Lots of tourist attractions close by. Really lovely scenery. Lovely quirky Indian restaurant close by that's great value for money. There's lovely cafe close by for breakfast too and some lovely shops.

I found the White Horse to be a well kept pub and hotel, with attention to detail evident throughout, promoting its cleanliness and a really pleasant place to stay. The rooms had comfortable, warm beds, with well furnished bathrooms. The venue was quiet and meant a good night's sleep was easily possible 😊 also there are shops next to the pub if needed. the staff are the star of the show though, friendly, approachable and really made the White Horse a place to stay at :)

Very cosy, relaxing, generous space to spend time in (unlike a cramped hotel room). Village is very cute and we enjoyed a walk around. Linda was helpful and responsive but we did not meet in person, she doesn't want to impose but is always available if needed. Cute cats to pet outside!

Superb hospitality. The hotel wasn't busy though and dining room side therefore closed but still catered for us for breakfast in the morning although at an additional cost.
