The place magical country house was fabulous full of history and incredible saff characters was dealt with so much enthusiasm and everything was a sheer quality experience from breakfast to dinner and occasional 🍸 drinks served perfectly the staff fell over each other to be as helpful as they could my hat off to them all

Ideal location - just opposite The Swan Theatre. Beautiful, spacious and clean room. Seamless AC - you couldn't hear it at all. Big bathroom with shower and bathtub. Helpful and very nice personnel. Delicious breakfast.

Shottery is a stone throw away from Startford-upon-Avon.

Shottery is a stone throw away from Startford-upon-Avon. Its a lovely, historical walk to the historical centre. From the Shell petrol station you can easily walk to Anne Hathaway's, (Shakespeare's wife), cottage and pay a visit without worrying about car parking. Its all very beautiful. Just go and enjoy.

This was not so much character cottage, as tatty town house.

This was not so much character cottage, as tatty town house. It was grubby, dusty and uncomfortable. No free to air tv. There was a lack of the basics, like toilet paper and the kitchen seemed to be a repository for left over junk.
