The superking size bed was fabulous and having a small window in the eye sight from the bed that looked out onto fields gave such a relaxing vibe. The apartment was spacious and well thought through! No expense was spared in making sure the visit was as relaxing as possible! Great selection of breakfast choices!

It was so good to be in a historic building, in a great village. The Land Lady was so kind and helpful. Her dog was also so happy to see visitors. I also slept so well in this cosy accommodation.

The convenience of the hotel close to the motorway was an...

The convenience of the hotel close to the motorway was an important factor in choosing this hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was very poor. No hot food and the cold food was in a very dirty and dangerous cabinet. The room had no air conditioning (broken down) , no opening windows at all, a fan which would be too noisy to run all night. Stifling heat in the room. Staff few and very far between. Not happy at all about this booking and hotel.

Best Western Hotel was ideally situated near the A1 and...

Best Western Hotel was ideally situated near the A1 and provided an ideal stop over on our trip to Emmerdale Village Tour the next day. We did not travel into South Milton as we ate at the Hotel but I would say that access to South Milton would have been very easy. Hotel was in a nice quiet and relaxing location with very easy access and parking.

Unfortunatly there was a problem with the water supply as it was coming out rusty, after the hotel drained off all the hot water in the tank to get it to run clear which took about an hour it meant we then had to wait for the water to warm up enough to have a shower so half the evening was waisted.

The staff were fantastic.

The staff were fantastic. After an initial mix up with the booking which was due to the automated booking service the staff went above and beyond to not only rectify it but to make it better including a free taxi too and from a wedding party we we're going too. The location itself isn't the best due to the scrap/ haulage yard right behind the building but if its just a room for a night or two or a base for exploring the surrounding area then the staff more than make up for that. All in all a good value base camp with great staff.

Only one night but a great stay. Staff were fabulous and very helpful and friendly. Ate in the restaurant and both dinner and breakfast were delicious and very good value. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone wanting either a night stopover or a longer stay. Room was extremely comfortable and spotless. The fact we could have our dogs with us both in the room and when we ate in the outer dining room was super. Easy to access and ample parking will definitely use again. Thank you.

An excellent one-nighter. Very kind, friendly and helpful staff, nice big well-appointed room, excellent breakfast and a good evening meal. Very comfortable bed. Only 25 mins into York centre (I guess it's good for Leeds, too). There's nothing around this hotel so don't go expecting night life etc; it's a great place to stop off if you're travelling long distance. No noise at all from the dual carriageway outside.

I would happily return to this hotel if I was in the area again. The room was a comfortable size. Tea & coffee tray was well equipped with plenty of drinks and a pack of biscuits. I had my 2 large dogs with me and there was plenty of room for their crates to fit in the room. I expected it to be noisy with it being on the main road but it was actually very quiet which was a huge bonus as I hate noise!
