Location was great. Old pub with great charm and fabulous cocktails. Unfortunately our car broke down so we got in very late and missed the kitchen for dinner but the publican allowed us to bring takeaway into the front bar to eat with our drinks.

This was our second stay at the Hideaway and it was just as lovely as the first time. We were welcomed to a warm home, which was lovely on a cold December day. The house had Christmas decorations which we thought was a very nice touch. Everything was just as great as last time - well equipped kitchen, very good shower, comfy bed and seating, fast WiFi. Our dog was very comfortable here too and we appreciate the dog bowls and dog mat. No complaints its a clear 10/10 for us. Thank you for another wonderful stay x

We were visiting Tarves for a family funeral – it is the...

We were visiting Tarves for a family funeral – it is the village where my father-in-law was brought up. It is, in a word, idyllic. The hotel and pub were charming. The local cafe, The Murly Tuck, was a real gem (excellent quality food) and the Heritage Centre was fascinating. Whilst you are close enough to Aberdeen for the 'big city', Tarves has plenty to offer in its own right. Yet its location allows you to easily explore lots more of what Aberdeenshire has to offer.
