This is everything an English pub with rooms should be. Beautifully situated in a pretty village with various National Trust properties and other places of interest nearby. Service was impeccable. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Sadly, we couldn't dine there as we were attending a party elsewhere. However, we did have breakfast the next morning and it was excellent.

Stunning food & impeccable service in this little gem of a place. Not a right angle in sight in my lovely cozy room with beams & pillars & wonkyness. The food is properly special. I need to return here for a weekend with my spouse to do justice to the breakfast - a work day was too much of a rush.

What a beautiful, lavish and fascinating place.

What a beautiful, lavish and fascinating place. An example of what all the money in the world and more can buy you a few hundred years ago. The guides are passionate and so knowledgable about the history of the building. There is a cafe/coffee shop to the rear and a gift shop accessible from inside and outside the house. If you like wine, recommend the Waddesdon range... an especially fine Pinot Noir that we had in the hotel we stayed in and bought a bottle from the shop to take home.

We were visiting Waddesdon for the Christmas fair, which was magical. There's something there for everyone. The house is amazing, and was decorated to perfection. Once it was dark, the projections on the house were fantastic, as was the light trail. This was our 2nd visit for the Christmas fair, and it did not disappoint. A lovely experience.

Waddesdon Manor is just extraordinary!

Waddesdon Manor is just extraordinary! French chateau style and packed with mainly pre-revolution French furniture. The gardens are lovely and we were lucky enough to go at daffodil time - highly recommended!

Waddesdon is a small village, about 5 miles mid way between Aylesbury and Bicester. Very handy for National Trust Waddesdon Manor, which is a lovely place to visit and also has a decent children’s woodland playground. There are a couple of pubs, which were recommended by the B&B.

The sheer grandeur and splendour of the house and its contents, the immaculate gardens and the knowledge of the room guides. The garden tour was especially valuable in setting the context of the house, which we toured afterwards, as Ferdinand's setting for his art and other collections and for his entertaining.

Waddesdon manor really know how to do Christmas.

Waddesdon manor really know how to do Christmas. We loved the lights , decorations and Christmas market. I'm looking forward to going again to see the rest of the house. It was just like stepping into a French chateau. If you're for the walk to and from the car park is great but if not the bus is a good choice.

The room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for our purpose (attending an event at the neighbouring Waddesdon Manor National Trust property). Free parking was welcome. Overall, good value for money.

What a delightful find. The whole place has some class and the food is delicious. By far the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, in a hotel. But the most memorable thing about the Five Arrows is the staff, exceptional service. All in all made the stay feel like it was a home away from home.
