Lovely town - really pretty.

Lovely town - really pretty. Gorgeous park areas and views of the castle. Great restaurants and bars. We loved The Eagle pub - quirky and friendly. Fabulous Italian food at Piccolinos. Also had a nice meal at The Tilted Wig and fun night at Ronnies Bar. Not far to get to Warwick Arts Centre by taxi or driving where we saw a great comedy show. Would definitely visit again. Easy to walk everywhere. Some lovely old tudor buildings.

We visited the town of Warwick and the tourist information...

We visited the town of Warwick and the tourist information centre was very helpful. We visited St Mary's Church and climbed the spiral steps up the tower to get a clear view of Warwick and the castle. We were given a guided tour of the church. We visited Saxon Mill where we enjoyed the working mill, the beautiful grounds and a welcome coffee. We returned in the evening by taxi for a lovely meal. I would recommend the Saxon Mill.

Beautiful town with a fantastic castle to visit.

Beautiful town with a fantastic castle to visit. Warwick castle has to be the best castle to visit in the country. A lot of effort has been put into the presentation of the castle it is well worth a visit. Warwick town is very charming with plenty of small business shops to choose from. We went to the street party they had in July 2025 it was a great atmosphere in Warwick is very safe.

Beautiful town with medieval flair.

Beautiful town with medieval flair. Much more to see than we expected. Plan one full day for the castle at least and another day for the town. Lots of food options that are open in the evening (at least during a summer weekend when we were visiting).

Warwick Castle was excellent if a little expensive to visit.

Warwick Castle was excellent if a little expensive to visit. There were several tour guides scheduled which you could simply join at no extra cost. Paid extra to do the dungeon tour which was great fun but we were disappointed that they subsequently wanted to charge a lot extra for copies of the photos they took of us on entering, we declined! There are lots of good food outlets, we particularly enjoyed our meal in Mexicanos on Jury Street. The rest of the town has many historic buildings, we needed longer to explore and hope to revisit soon.

Hotel is a bit spartan as far as reception is concerned, but that's OK. There are shops and a nice fish&chips just across the road, so unless you like hotel restaurants, all is good! Location is right next to a traffic-light controlled junction, and is quite busy. However, it isn't as noisy as you might think - the windows are very good at reducing the noise. Location is very good for access to Warwick station, the centre of Warwick including the castle.

Hotel was easily accessible from major routes and easy to visit Warwick from there. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Ground floor room was provided as we had a dog. The room was comfortable, clean and benefitted from air conditioning. There was a good range of options at breakfast.
