My recent stay at The Lion at West Pennard was nothing short of exceptional, leaving me with a heartwarming experience. The staff's hospitality was a standout feature. From the friendly welcome at the reception to the attentive service throughout my stay, the team at The Lion truly went above and beyond. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the culinary experience. The food served at The Lion was nothing short of a gastronomic delight. Each meal was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication, with a diverse menu that catered to various tastes. The Breakfast was delicious. They always offer vegan options! The B&B's location near Glastonbury is simply enchanting. Nestled in a picturesque setting, the surroundings are both peaceful and aesthetically pleasing. You can see the Tor of Glastonbury from the bedrooms window. In conclusion, our stay at The Lions was a perfect blend of friendly service, delectable cuisine, and a breathtaking locale.

The Sheep and Penguin is a brilliant, newly refurbished little inn. We had the pleasure of staying a couple of nights there. It's a great base to explore Wells and the wider Somerset region from. Excellent customer service from all of the staff, especially the manager Dan who made us feel completely welcome and gave us some excellent local recommendations. The pub downstairs is fantastic and the food was top notch. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished, with a very comfy bed! We would highly recommend that everyone visiting Wells or Somerset should stay here!

The staff is very kind. We were a little bit late check in, the nice lady waited for us to help us check in. The room is very clean and tidy. The breakfast was fresh cooked which were just at home.

Perfect location in the very centre of Glastonbury. So very close to Hight street and we would see the Abbey from our window. Friendly helpful staff, very welcoming and family atmosphere! We really enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommended! There is a small parking lot behind the property where we could park. There is a restaurant and pub downstairs. Delicious food for a very good prices!

Room was gorgeous and comfy bed . Towels, sheets Best quality ever, Sweets In room and the Bramley s bathroom creams were the best .loved them. Lovely sleep easy with the dog being on ground floor. Disappointed with food Would stay again

I little hidden gem that we will definitely return to. The hosts were very friendly, room was comfortable with little touches such as fresh milk and sweets. The food at The Lion is to a very high standard.

An excellent stay and the restaurant is top quality with an old heritage wood interior also provides gluten free food and is dog friendly. The bath in our room was very large and had complimentary soaps. The bed was really big and comfy.

We love The Lion, have been there for lunch, dinner and...

We love The Lion, have been there for lunch, dinner and drinks several times. The room we stayed in was a great size, plenty of room. But we were disappointed with the decor - the room we stayed in is nowhere to be seen on Booking.com or the website, hence the disappointment. A truer reflection of what you're getting when you book would be good! But we would stay again!

Lovely, place, lovely people, lovely food.

Lovely, place, lovely people, lovely food. We arrived much later than we’d arranged but were still warmly welcomed by the team. Our room was spacious and super comfy and dinner was superb. We had our two lurchers with us and theyvwere given just as warm a welcome as we were. We were only staying at The Lion for a night but would happily have stayed longer. Breakfast was simply top notch and there are plenty of footpaths nearby to walk the dawgs. Can’t recommend The Lion highly enough. We’ll be back. :)

Pub is lovely with a homely ambience and good outside seating areas. Lots of free parking. Room was as expected. Clean with added extras. Poor vegetarian options on main menu, although breakfast was catered nicely for, which was cooked fresh on order. Would stay here again
