Lovely little pub and chalets incredibly close to Alton Towers (not even a 10 min drive). There's an Asda 5 minutes away and the food in the pub is really lovely - both me and my husband recommend the lasagne. The breakfast is great - a choice of cereals with alternative milk before tucking into a full English breakfast. Ample free parking, chalets were clean, warm with linen provided. The staff were absolutely lovely and we had some great chats at the bar and my daughter's dairy allergy was well catered for. Very child friendly. I'd definitely stay here again!

It exceeded my expectations for the budget price that we had to pay. I was blown away with what we had for the cost of our stay. £40 for two people and there was a sauna, a gym, a steam room. Although budget it's 100% worth and value for money, but remember it is a budget. Stay bear that in mind the holiday is what you make it. We met some wonderful people. Thank you for this day. The property was very clean, perfect location for anyone visiting Alton towers, very comfy beds, lovely village, quiet, it had all of the appliances and supplies we needed for travelling with our baby, modern but also a nice homey cottage atmosphere. Hotel is in a lovely setting, plenty of parking, and very tastefully decorated. Lovely views, and spacious restaurant, bar, and bedrooms. Very close to Alton Towers. Not signposted from main road so we had a bit of a tour of the village before we found it.

Good value for money and a lovely overnight stay for us.

Good value for money and a lovely overnight stay for us. A clean, comfortable room with good facilities. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. The staff were first class- very friendly and helpful. You enter the hotel from a rear car park, which doesn’t give the best first impression, but once in the main reception area you are re-assured. The hotel is on a very quiet, peaceful location. It is not sign-posted at all from the A52 through Whiston, which is not ideal especially as the turning into the very narrow lane is tight and not obvious.

Delitefull place to stay with gorgeous scenery and lots to do being close to Alton towers and a golf course on site with the first tee only 30 meters from the front door. Look forward to our next stay.

Excellent. Couldn't fault the stay. Staff were exceptional. Food looked and tasted fantastic. Alton towers was less than 10mins away. Thank you to the staff who decorated our room for my girlfriends 40th birthday. Totally shocked when she opened the door; balloons, card and prosecco.

The hotel manager/owner was lovely. we had a slight noise problem which was not the managers fault as it was to do with other guest's. Unfortunately the noise travelled from the room below us however when I called the manager at 12.30 am she was extremely helpful and did speak to the other guests, she was very apologetic even though this was not her fault. Other than this we had a fantastic stay and it was the perfect location for Alton towers. I would definitely recommend it.

Whiston Hall was one of the friendliest places we’ve stayed. The staff went above & beyond to welcome us, make us comfortable & check everything was to our liking. Breakfast was spot on, rooms were comfortable & clean. It’s ideally located for Alton Towers, just a short drive on a lovely country road. Dinners at their twin-pub The Star at Cotton were superb. With the same excellent service. Fantastic trip. Highly recommended stay.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff were amazing & so hard working! Even working long days they always have a smile of their face and remembered little things about our group from the evening meal to breakfast the next day. There was a limited choice for evening food but it was all lovely & very tasty.
