Really nice comfortable stay. Spacious room, nicely decorated, with a big comfortable bed and a clean, modern ensuite bathroom. Lots of options provided to make yourself a cuppa which was appreciated. Easy self check in and self check out. Lovely communicative host. A few continental breakfast items available in the room - please note the cafe downstairs (independent from the guesthouse) has pretty limited hours so early risers need not plan to eat breakfast there

It is a truly beautiful place. Everywhere I turned there was a picture calling to be taken. The green grass, the beautiful gardens, trees and flowers, the small pond - everything had an Alice in Wonderlandish feel. It’s far enough from the city to be surrounded by beautiful green fields and close enough that you can get a taxi to ride into the city center when needed. The staff was exceptional, always polite and taking care of every request whether it was a cup of tea in the lawns or suggestions of what to do nearby. The spa was also wonderful - with the heated pool, jacuzzi and steam / sauna, it all added to a relaxing stay

The bed was comfortable, but the cabin pod was shabby and...

The bed was comfortable, but the cabin pod was shabby and dark with no water. The site was shabby and depressing. The loos and showers were a long trek from the cabin but were clean. The pod decking was old, filthy and burned. The pod decking furniture was old, filthy and uncomfortable. It needs a total upgrade. The site is, however, very near to a shopping area called Clifton Moor and very near to York. There is no scenic view of nature from the pod site just a gravel path and car park. Not a pleasant place to stay despite being cheap I would never stay there again. There are dog-friendly pods, and I stayed in one but that is no reason for it to be shabby and smelly. I have stayed in much better-equipped pods that are dog-friendly. Unpleasant experience overall. No loo or running water are not acceptable these days even in glamping sites.

Lovely relaxing location just on the outskirt of beautiful...

Lovely relaxing location just on the outskirt of beautiful York. Accommodate very cosy and peaceful, very enjoyable trip. A good idea to book a taxi into York in advance and a must for the return trip, plenty of taxi firms to choose. Lovely farm cafe open for breakfast and other options near by. Lots of local character pubs about. Lighting the fire pit in the evening made it feel very autumnal and blankets provided in the accommodation to cosy up with. Lovely scenic location

Everything about The Little Hide has been fabulous....a magical few days in a beautiful spot surrounded by birdsong and nature. My Wren Pod had everything I needed and more ....a cosy and clean den ...and the shower was great ..better and bigger than mine at home ! The walk along the beck into Wigginton was lovely and the Black Horse is great for food and a drink too ! The bus into York was handy ...I didn't use my car at all !

Great place to stay with my dog George ...has everything we need and great walks too ..the walk into Wigginton through the woods is lovely and the pub and shop are great there too ! The pod is so cosy and this time I used the microwave also got some great chips from nearby Haxby.

comfort bed pillows absolutely outstanding and was 100% more than I expected, so much better than a hotel or even home, will be definitely staying again and would have payed 5 times as much so value was amazing x

The Cabin was very comfortable and the toilet/shower block was in good order. I liked the addition of the fridge facilities in the cool store nearby.
