Woodbridge is a still vibrant town with lots of independent shops. Good selection of places to eat. Outside of the shops there are museums of the rich sailing heritage and a beautiful river walk in both directions from The Old Station House.

Loved Woodbridge. So friendly and quiet.

Loved Woodbridge. So friendly and quiet. Very interesting history re the museum, the long ship and the Tide Mill. Loved walking along the River Deben, spotting the two sisters. Sutton Hoo is a must. Great eating places, Marlowe’s, The Anchor - very good meals. Loved the church and the architecture and history of the whole area, houses and fantastic shops too. Very accessible for Southwold, Orford, Aldeburgh, Saxmundham etc al.

Woodbridge is a lovely un-spoilt town with several good pubs...

Woodbridge is a lovely un-spoilt town with several good pubs and restaurants. The Deben riverside with the Tide-Mill and restaurants is very pleasant and the Anglo-Saxon boat project in the Longshed a must.

A beautiful town with some interesting old buildings.

A beautiful town with some interesting old buildings. There were plenty of places in which to eat and drink. Pub prices were a bit expensive, though. The Whistlestop cafe near the station is good value for money. Woodbridge is close to Sutton Hoo, which is a fascinating place to visit.

We used Woodbridge as the center point to visit Framlingham...

We used Woodbridge as the center point to visit Framlingham and Great Glennham and Sutton Heath and the coast. if we had stayed a little longer we could have spent more time in each place and have had time to see everything in Woodbridge. We did not get to the Tide Mill and could have spent more time just walking around town to see all there was to see. And with more time we could have walked to Sutton Hoo instead of getting a ride. Also could have gone to Saxmundham.

An attractive town, convenient for visiting Sutton Hoo and its Anglo-Saxon treasures (a short taxi ride from Woodbridge Station), as well as the wider area. A good rail service from Ipswich and the mainline. The town itself is historic but also has some good shops such as Sea Salt and Fat Face, comfortable cafes and pubs.

We thoroughly appreciated walking off the train and straight into the station house to a warm welcome from our hostess. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the views were amazing. Breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed the buzz of the busy Whistle-stop café. The town of Woodbridge, on the Station House doorstep is well worth exploring.

Superb breakfast. Comfortable warm room. Excellent location for Woodbridge. Friendly and helpful staff. Was worth paying £10 per night for the car parking facility. Other car parks are nearby but this was close to the rear of the hotel out of public view. The bar had a good selection of real ales.

Very comfortable, quiet and in a convenient location. Tastefully furnished and decorated. Light and spacious. 2 lovely little eateries just around the corner and numerous other restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Excellent base for exploring the Suffolk coast.
