We liked being able to stay in a hotel that was close to our family. It was a convenient location and we were happy with our room. The staff was very friendly. We loved being able to use the facilities...the driving range. The adventure golf was closed due to snow the day we wanted to play, but we hope to play next time we stay. We enjoyed being able to use the lounge area by the bar to hang out with a big group of family members.

Lovely hotel with an amazing team running it. All the staff (and the owner) were very friendly. Also in the restaurant and bar for breakfast and dinner, all the staff were really nice and the service was great. Its an old building with lots of character, but the rooms are modern, comfortable beds, powerful shower etc. The local shortbread biscuits left in the rooms was a nice touch, Woodbridge itself is also a beautiful village, with a great high street with lots of independent shops. I strongly recommend this hotel (and restaurant) to anyone visiting the area.

Woodbridge is a still vibrant town with lots of independent shops. Good selection of places to eat. Outside of the shops there are museums of the rich sailing heritage and a beautiful river walk in both directions from The Old Station House.

Loved Woodbridge. So friendly and quiet.

Loved Woodbridge. So friendly and quiet. Very interesting history re the museum, the long ship and the Tide Mill. Loved walking along the River Deben, spotting the two sisters. Sutton Hoo is a must. Great eating places, Marlowe’s, The Anchor - very good meals. Loved the church and the architecture and history of the whole area, houses and fantastic shops too. Very accessible for Southwold, Orford, Aldeburgh, Saxmundham etc al.

Woodbridge is a lovely un-spoilt town with several good pubs and restaurants. The Deben riverside with the Tide-Mill and restaurants is very pleasant and the Anglo-Saxon boat project in the Longshed a must.

A beautiful town with some interesting old buildings.

A beautiful town with some interesting old buildings. There were plenty of places in which to eat and drink. Pub prices were a bit expensive, though. The Whistlestop cafe near the station is good value for money. Woodbridge is close to Sutton Hoo, which is a fascinating place to visit.

We used Woodbridge as the center point to visit Framlingham...

We used Woodbridge as the center point to visit Framlingham and Great Glennham and Sutton Heath and the coast. if we had stayed a little longer we could have spent more time in each place and have had time to see everything in Woodbridge. We did not get to the Tide Mill and could have spent more time just walking around town to see all there was to see. And with more time we could have walked to Sutton Hoo instead of getting a ride. Also could have gone to Saxmundham.

An attractive town, convenient for visiting Sutton Hoo and its Anglo-Saxon treasures (a short taxi ride from Woodbridge Station), as well as the wider area. A good rail service from Ipswich and the mainline. The town itself is historic but also has some good shops such as Sea Salt and Fat Face, comfortable cafes and pubs.

All aspects of the hotel were excellent, staff were very accommodating and helpful, food was delicious with my g-f/lactose free intolerances catered for easily with good choices on all menus, a gluten free loaf was provided at the end of my stay which was a real bonus! Our room was very clean and comfortable and extra pillows were provided upon request. The close proximity to the town centre meant that Christmas shopping was easy as our bags could be taken back to our room. Woodbridge has lots of individual shops, well worth a visit.

Loved everything about this hotel. Having the weather to enjoy the grounds and eat outside was a bonus. All the food we had was really good. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Service was excellent. Our room on the ground floor, which I had requested, was lovely with a bay window looking out onto the grounds. We will be back when next in Woodbridge area.
