I arrived very late due to a delayed flight but a solution was found so I could still check in, although it was after midnight. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. Too bad it was only for one night.

Good restaurant and bar food, good room service, lovely room with a very comfy bed, we didn't want to get out of in the morning. For our evening meal, our Waiter, Joshy was fabulous as was the food. And all staff. My partner had a couple of elemis treatments on the second day, which she said was good value for money, while I used the spa facilities. You can use the spa even after you check out at 11.

Wow, what a difference a new proactive manager has made to this hotel. We had previously stayed at the hotel pre-covid on a number of occasions and had seen the decline in the building so where very presently surprised on the improvements that have been made since we last stayed. Refurbished, clean and comfortable rooms, with new carpet, bedding, T.V's etc. The general ambiance of the property was very welcoming as were the helpful, polite and informative staff. Breakfast was buffet style, delicious and hot with plenty of variety and I had one of the best curries I have eaten in the restaurant for dinner one night. The manager was a delight to speak with and actively sought feedback from guests so that he could continue to improve services. All in all, an excellent stay, and great value for money and will be our first choice on returning to England and Kent.

It was located in an amazing place. Elegant and peaceful looking. Nothing fancy but everything was great. As a former Mercure staff, I wasn’t very much into booking any of the Mercure brand but I’m glad that I booked it. 😇 I would like to say a big thank you to Tom (F&B) for an amazing service with a lovely smile. Thank you for tolerating my requests every single time. 😅❤️ and shout out to Laila (my apologies if I said the wrong name) from Reception.     An overnight stay with work: excellent value, really friendly, helpful & accommodating owners. It was such an easy, comfortable place to stay where everything has been thought of. Breakfast choices were excellent and I can thoroughly recommend Pretty Maid House.

    Staying at The Bull was an absolute pleasure - from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and treated exceptionally. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made the best Virgin Mary at the bar we’ve ever had! The food was incredible - so much so we were hoping we’d have time to come back the next day to eat at the restaurant again. Rooms were huge, great facilities and had a great sense of character - reflecting the historic nature of the hotel but had all of the modern luxury you could need.

    What a fabulous B & B! I was originally looking to stay at the hotel where I was attending a function 10 minutes walk from The Pretty Maid. When that was full, I looked for something nearby and I'm glad they were full! Andy & Sue are fab hosts, and couldn't do enough for us. The room was spacious and well appointed, and spotlessly clean. Then there's the breakfast. A very good selection and what we chose was beautifully presented and well cooked.

    Vigo retreat is not your average B&B, it is unique huts, barns or yurt accommodations in a landscaped field. You are close to nature, but very comfortably close. I was in a Yurt with TV, fridge, microwave, sink, kettle with ample drinks supplies, and comfortable beds. The toilet and shower were outside, not far away. Great location for exploring Kent, nearby National Trust sites and Brands Hatch.
