We had a GREAT overnight stay at the Three Horse Shoes Hotel - although we actually stayed across the road in their annex - The Stables. Everything was modern, new and perfect. Fully Equipped kitchen, huge comfy bed, washing machine and drying rack with portable heaters, plenty of room to spread out, and security for our touring bicycles. They even included a cooked breakfast for us the next morning - which was unexpected given that we had a kitchen - and it was a great start to our day. We'd certainly stay here again.

Private hot tub just outside the room overlooking the field. We overlooked the sunset, then once it got dark and turned the garden lights off, we were enveloped by a starry sky. I saw a shooting star! it was just incredible. Moody room with dimmable lighting throughout was so nice, the best decor I've ever seen in British accommodation. Proximity to the restaurant. We wanted somewhere with a hot tub but not self-catered and not a driving distance to a restaurant. the restaurant was a few seconds walk away from our room. Just perfect! We spent most of our stay in the hot tub and it was so relaxing. The hot tub was ready to go in and was very clean! Optimal temp too. Complemented the cold February air very well.

The hotel was very close to a couple of Roman sites, the remains of a bridge over the Tees and a fortress on Dere street, both of which I had a look at. The village of Piercebridge is also very nice looking. The restaurant in with the bar was good, with a traditional character. I had the beef stew with mash and a dumpling, which was excellent. The breakfast was served in their Riverside restaurant which was nicely decorated. There was plenty on offer, with the option of ordering cooked food as well, which I didn't take. I filled myself up nicely. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the room was warm and nicely furnished, the wifi worked well.

Callum was a very helpful and welcoming host with awesome communication. The house itself is a lovely country style farmhouse and feels very homely. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot and the kitchen and living spaces are large and cosy. There was food provided for breakfast. The location is nice and close to several lovely villages including Richmond and has nice views of the surrounding country side.

And almost 4 weeks of travel this was the best hotel I’ve had. It was the most generous and personal accommodation. Karen thinks of everything, there several small treats and goodies. While most midprice hotels to everything they have to, Karin offers generously the best hotel breakfast I’ve had in a long while and makes the effort just for two parties. Let yourself get spoiled.

Well equipped lovely and clean fantastic outside space modern kitchen and bathroom furniture all comfortable the welcome pack was a nice touch quiet location with just a short walk into town and it's many coffee shops bars etc
