The style is very nice, I like the details and furniture. It’s very clean and organised. There is an AC and good wifi. You have a patio to sit at and have a drink while enjoying the jungle scenery infront of you. The kitchen has everything you need. Oh and the shower has actual water pressure! Unlike most showers I had on the islands. The best part is the host, he is very kind and helpful, a very nice conversationalist and has good advice for things to do.

This is a definite 10! If you are looking for a quiet place where you can hear only the sea surf, birds and cicadas, you have found it. Amazing views from both the restaurant and the terraces of the rooms. These are simple, but polished to the last detail. The whole area is beautifully landscaped and clean. The restaurant can cook breakfast, lunch and dinner on request, always at the agreed time. Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and very tasty. The beach is just a few steps away. It is the windward side of the island, so you have to take into account the presence of seaweed on the beach. However, the bay is sandy and very gently sloping, so swimming here is very pleasant. There are sunbeds in the shade of palm trees.

It was delicious. And, that morning I truly needed it. So it hit the spot.

We are just back from a 4 nights stay in the Driftwood suite at Villa Kaya. This small and intimate hotel was just incredible. All the other reviews here are spot on. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Mia and Kelon. Mia checked us in and gave us a quick tour of the lovely property, which included the small infinity pool, lounge and the dock, while Kelon took our luggage to the room. The room was large, spotless (thanks to Wendyann and Madonna) and ultra modern with a seating area, and with a king size bed that was super comfortable. It comes equipped with a fridge/freezer, a stove top and kitchen equipment. The room overlooks the bay, and the doors to the French balcony open wide and give you a nice warm breeze in room. The bathroom had a large shower with a waterfall shower head. Mia is truly amazing. She is always responsive, she recommended many restaurants and things to do, and she assisted with making reservations. You can’t get better service. Every morning Agatha had prepared a tasty breakfast which we enjoyed with other guests outside at the communal table. After breakfast we wandered down the couple of minutes to the wonderful BBC beach and found some shade underneath a tree on the beach where we spent the rest of the morning. This is a gem of a hotel that we would visit again in a heartbeat, and we would consider ourselves lucky if we could find any availability there.

I am not usually the type to write reviews, but our recent two-week stay at La Sagesse Boutique Hotel, Restaurant & Beach Bar deserves to be recognized for its exceptional care and rare magic. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something special. Our beautiful two-story, all-wood room felt both luxurious and warm, with air conditioning for comfort and an outdoor shower tucked under the canopy of beautiful trees — an experience in itself. In the mornings, we could step outside and be on a palm-fringed, white-sand beach in under 10 seconds. The setting was pure paradise: calm turquoise water, soft sand, sunbeds, kayaks, and snorkeling gear ready to use. The restaurant was exceptional, serving fresh local dishes, the daily catch straight from the sea, and vibrant fresh juices, it was a joy to dine there. At night, the space transformed — softly lit with white string lights, creating an atmosphere straight out of the most dreamy movies. What made our stay truly special was the peace we found here. We both work in high-stress environments, and for the first time in years, we were able to slow down, take barefoot walks along the shore, soak in the sun, and simply be present. Every detail seemed designed to make life easier and calmer — from the fresh water buckets with floating flowers outside each bungalow to wash off the sand, to the gorgeous decorative touches throughout the property. The staff were extraordinary. Every single person we met was welcoming, friendly, and eager to help. They arranged incredible excursions, and with their trusted driver, we explored the entire island. When I unexpectedly needed to see a doctor, they organized everything within minutes — calmly, efficiently, and with genuine care. That level of service is rare anywhere in the world. It’s telling that guests from other resorts would wander over, fall in love with the atmosphere, and decide to come back daily and spend their days at La Sagesse.

Absolutely amazing experience, the staff was friendly, the property exceeded my expectations, and the location was everything would definitely stay there again.
