Amazing views and a really nice pool also there’s a restaurant owned by them right across the road that has everything you need. Has spacious rooms and bathrooms and is also 15 minutes away from one of the most beautiful and famous lakes in Europe its absolutely stunning would highly recommend also really good price

The hotel is even better than in the pictures. Everything was exceptional, from the daily fresh à la carte breakfast menu, gorgeous sunset views to the friendly and accommodating staff, you will not be disappointed. María is a very friendly ,kind and welcoming person. Make you feel at home. The apartments are confortable and with all what you need to enjoy your stay in Kalives. Since few years i stay there when i come to Crete. Nice atmosphere,beautifull enjoyable garden just steps from the beach, the sound of the sea, the calm área and short walk to centre of the town...short nice walk to many shops, minimarkets,bakery,butcher, pharmacy, tavernas, and anything you need...just in front there's a main supermarket which is very practical...great place!

Stayed in villa Olive from 21/06/2024 to 05/07/2024, it has a big terrace with views of the mountains and the lovely pool. Vamos in the western part of Crete feels more authentic than the eastern part were we stayed previously. There are many restaurant's within a short stroll from the villa serving authentic Cretan food. Also beaches are very easy assessable within a 15 to 20 minute drive. First visit to Almirida was many years ago with young children and then years later as adults alone.It was still enjoyable and the proximity of everything nearby of this small but nicely presented resort was a winner for us. Sloping shallow sandy bay beach is brilliant. Plenty of good places to rent and lots of eateries of all kinds and all budgets. Bus to Chania is fairly regular ( in season) and doesnt take long. Drop off in Kalyves, the next town, is a good change of scenery as is Plaka up the hill. Taxi service seems 24 hrs and went over and above when we had a medical centre/hospital visit during stay. I think we will be coming here for a few years more in between other trips.

It was early October so Almirida was a little quieter which was perfect for us. Has nice holiday feel with plenty of places to relax and eat. Restaurants were very good and numerous. Beach was good and Kalyves was a 5 minute drive so many beach options. Can imagine in high season it could be busy but for us the timing in October was perfect.

Sandy beaches and warm and shallow sea. Great snorkelling round rocks near Tsunami restaurant. Easy bus into Chania for day trip - tickets and timetable available from nearby shop. Lots of good restaurants. Scuba diving - recommend Elephant Cave.

Almirida is a good seaside resort with safe beaches, numerous bars and restaurants, free parking and supermarkets. Very comfortable to wander around at all times of day and night. The bakery is not to be missed!!!!

Almirida has not changed much in the last 20 years.

Almirida has not changed much in the last 20 years. Some great Tavernas right on the beach and the beach itself is sheltered and safe for swimming. Although on some occasions it can get a bit windy. Bus service to Chania. 35 minutes from Chania airport in a car. Visit while you can.

Almyrida is a really small and quiet village.

Almyrida is a really small and quiet village. No crowds of tourists and no loud bars. Just a beautiful sea, a peaceful main street, and very tasty taverns and restaurants (Psaros was the best). The location is perfect! With a car, every day we went to explore nearby places: mountain villages, beach hopping, Chania, and Rethymno.

We had the most wonderful and comfortable stay at Almyrida sands. Our hosts were so accomodating. Even though I only booked for one person, my friend had to join last minute and they did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. They helped us with all our last minute requests for amenities. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Crete, the hosts are so lovely and the villa is just beautiful.

Nice and spacious villa with large pool. Great seaview from the upper terrace. Helpful cleaning lady came to the villa in the middle of the week to ask if we needed anything, which was nice. It was also great to meet the hostess and host. Villa was at the hill but not far from the sea. Almyrida is small, cozy and peaceful place.

I had the best views of Almyrida, seconds from the beach, easy street parking for my car and an awesome outdoor balcony to enjoy the area from. The hostess Anna was very welcoming and attentive. She made sure I had everything I needed and kept the place spotless. Will definitely come back 😊😊😊

Having stayed in this area many times this is without doubt a Great location, with lovely views of Almyrida and the sea and easy access walk to the resort. Wi-Fi excellent and BBQ area / dining set up was really nice.
