Dassia is a great location to spend time in Corfu.
Dassia is a great location to spend time in Corfu. It is close to the main attractions of the island. One downside are the beaches that are just with pebbles and have very thin shore. I would not recommend this location if you want to stay here just for the beach, but if you have a car and you can go to other beaches then it's a great location.Guest review byAncaRomania - 8.0
Dassia on itself is not an interesting place.

A beautiful area with plenty of restaurants and cafés. Dassia Beach is excellent, with clear waters, though less photogenic than the beaches often shown in promotional photos. There are many great beaches within a 25–45 minute drive. Note that most of the famous beaches require a car, and during the season it’s best to arrive early due to limited parking. The town is about 25 minutes from DASSIA (recommended to park near the port, where there are several large parking lots) – from there it’s just a short walk to the Old Town.Guest review byshukiRomania - 10.0

Dassia is probably the best place to travel all around Corfu: old town, beaches, historical places. There is locally a small sand beach, few tavernas, enough to find reasons to spent time also there... My advice?... Enjoy Greek hospitality, food and sea!Guest review bySorin AdrianRomania - 8.0

There are very nice bars, cocktail bars and restaurants in Dassia, with very friendly staff. The beach is just average, so it also depends what is our reason for travel. But the proximity of the bus allows us to go both to the north and to the south, as well as to the ferry terminal, Corfu City and the airport. Taxi rates for these distances are around 40 eur. Bus rates are 1.60-2.50 EUR. It is a quiet place with beautiful views, so good for a relaxing holiday.Guest review byAniaPoland - 8.0

It's a nice place, rather quite, but with all the facilities and good connections thanks to the bus number 7 (both to Corfu town, Gouvia and Ipsos) and green bus stop to Aqualand and Palaiokastritsa. You can rent boats and scooters there directly, supermarket, although a bit expensive, is appreciated to be so close, so are the souvenir shops.Guest review byAnonymousCzech Republic

The views and pool were excellent but, if you are unable to undertake steep, long walks, the location requires a car to get to and from a remote, hilly location. There is ample parking space available and car hire per day is EUR50-60 per day. Local buses run promptly every 30 mins and are EUR2.30 to go into Corfu town, which takes 30 mins. The rooms are 1980s original decor and run down but clean and livable. One gets what one pays for and it is excellent value.Guest review byGregoryAustralia

We arrived after midnight but the host was waiting for us with the keys and showed us around. She also arranged taxi for us. Vaso was very helpful with every request we had. You can feel that they take care of guests. In proximity there's beach Dassia which was the only sand beach on the island that we visited. Opposite the apartment is scooter rental, which we would recommend, even 50cc scooter will take 2 people almost everywhere, it gives more freedom than a car. Staff were all so kind + friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere and surprisingly quiet even though visited during high season, lots of room for lounging around by the pool/bar areas. 10 mins walk from supermarket/beach/restaurants, and handy bus stop 5 mins away (no.7) that goes into Corfu Town or Ipsos.
