Freshly renovated apartment, kitchen is new and functional. The climate in this hillside is dry and chilly at night, so you will rarely use the air conditioning. Sifis, Sabine, Petros and his grandfather are the kindest and most hospitable hosts I have ever met. They do produce outstanding Olive oil and marmalade as well as soap. But what really strikes is the good and welcoming heart of everyone. Don't miss this experience

The villa exceeds all standards and is reasonably priced. It is very spacious, but also cozy. The biggest plus of this villa is the private swimming pool and especially the very warm owners, who take beautiful care of you and are always available for you on the phone. One day they even surprised us with pasta and yummy cinnamon cookies. Within walking distance you will find a small town and half an hour by car is the city of Heraklion. Thank you very much for this stay. It was breathtaking!

The house is big and it has all what one needs. You can watch the stars in the evening from the terrace upstairs. Many cats in the surroundings are well taken care of from people of the village (much appreciated from my children!). The owner brought us some fantastic grapes. It's in the mountains, so it's not hot in the evening and perfect place to relax after crowds in Stalida or Malia. Convenient also to visit Heraklion or Cnossos, about 30 minutes by car. When in the village follow the signs to the Gorge, the house is soon on the left after taking the road towards the Gorge from the Church square. You can park just outside the house entrance.

Breakfast was amazing, so much choice of every kind of food. The pool area was lovely. Room spacious and well equipped. We did half board and with the breakfast didn't need to eat lunch and just had dinner every night. We tried both restaurants and the food is exceptional. So so good. We went into town to eat at a really popular authentic Cretan restaurant and the food at the hotel in their Cretan restaurant was better. The only reason to have lunch is their enormous salads which are delicious and they do some potatoes cut into kind of wedges with a cheese sauce which amazing!
