The hotel is small, with a small number of rooms. At check-in they give a bottle of local wine and a plate of fruit. The staff are very polite and pleasant. Some days we lived with a sea facing room, a few with a garden view. The rooms have everything, clean. Very liked that for dinner every day was a different cuisine. And everything was delicious! My husband has gluten intolerance - and the chef told him which dishes were gluten-free, and sometimes even cooked specially. There was a very good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks to the hotel we had an amazing holiday!

This is the perfect getaway for peace and quiet. The hotel has preserved the traditional aspects of this old Cretan village. Every room has it's own individual style, which is lovely. There is a welcome drink and a tour offered at check-in. The room itself (we had the Hyades room) was very spacious with all amenities needed. I particularly enjoyed the bath products. Cute little swimming pool with yummie snacks and drinks and the best fries i have ever had. Staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast options were good, a few traditional Cretan products as well. Good coffee.

I really wanted to write you to say that traveling around the world and providing different culture for our family is what we value the most. Knowing Greece was my biggest dream in my 41 years life… It is so special to have chosen somewhere so committed with the guests. We are very impressed and thankful. A good room with beautiful view was something so important to me and you found us simply the most beautiful room we could wish/deserve. Kids are enjoying everything, they loved the aquapark! I loved the wine menu available in the all inclusive experience. Our cretan barbecue during the sunset was a gift! This is the best resort we have ever been to, and when I say that, believe me, it is a huge thing! We have been to the best in caribean, Florida, Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Spain… As the music says: You’re simply the best! We will never forget these days!

It was a wonderful stay, on a first day we received a basket of fruits and wine as a compliment. Each day our apartment was cleaned. There were a lot of toiletries in the bathroom - soap, shower gel, shampoo with olive oil. The kitchen had everything we need, including tea, coffee, filters for coffee. There was an amazing view from our apparentment.

The rooms were always clean, personal was amazing and the location of the hotel is perfect. We had a car so exploring the island was easier so I really recommend renting car!

The village is an authentic traditional mountain village,...

The village is an authentic traditional mountain village, with fabulous view to the sea and to Mount Psiloritis. Wandering the alleys was a great pleasure and I could see myself living there. I did not eat out much, but when I did the food was good traditional Cretan fare. The highlight of my stay was the celebration of 15th August, with top notch traditional Cretan musicians and dancing, which went on until the morning. The whole central part of the village was laid out with long tables and chairs, where family and friends gathered to eat, drink, socialise and dance.

The village is very friendly and caters well for visitors.

The village is very friendly and caters well for visitors. While it is a tourist attraction, the village still maintains is authentic Cretan traditions and warmth to all visitors. It is also the best place to buy any pottery as it is far cheaper to buy directly from here than anywhere else. You can even watch the potters making their products in the shops, which is great to see.
